You know what? I hardly read other 'literature' book. but JA is my super fav writer. Her book is so simple, that any 13 year old Malaysian can read. thats when i read my first JA, P&P. My english was just so so. My top 3 JA: 1/P&P, 2/Emma, 3/ Persua

QUOTE(vicole @ Oct 25 2009, 04:11 PM) i agree these are more easy to read and understand for a girl in 17. i agree that P&P should be every would be Janeite's first book. if you factor in familiarity due to movie/tv adaptations, maybe S&S a second book. actually S&S is my least fav JA book. personally i find that any of her other major books have far more dry humour than S&S. S&S is kinda bland wih less than her usual humour. as a JA fan, i like it as it is JA's first major book and the 2 major characters somewhat mirror her sis and herself (JA).
