Haha played some games today and had a 8 games winning streak. It's quite awesome how we can bring our StarCraft mechanics to apply in Starcraft 2.
so how does the game feel?both gameplay and graphic wiseStarcraft 2 V2, Releasing on 27th of July 2010 :D

just saw one replay where a protoss player directly build a pylon outside of enemy's base and just warp in zealots....protoss seems to be quite dangerous if played properly now since they can warp units in whenever there is power field..
and SC1 does not has this stuff right? |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Feb 21 2010, 11:49 PM) Wait till you see a Zerg Nydus worm's head popping out from inside your base & unleash waves upon waves of Banelings as parting gifts. now you reminds me of that scary thing used to fear that a lot when i played SC and terran also has their medivac now....all play sneak sneak lol |

QUOTE(kEazYc @ Feb 22 2010, 12:22 AM) In SC1, protoss player usually build gateways outside enemy's base, and spam zealots, that's given if they're slow in productions or something, correct me if i'm wrong, that's called "cheese" in a way. i'm not sure, but from the video i saw, the warp is pretty fast, and you can warp in as many units as your resource can allow at that time.... |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Feb 22 2010, 12:57 AM) Nope, only SC2 has this. but for early harassment he still needs the pylon strategy right? =PIt's gonna even worse if he use a Warp Prism to do that. If you want to talk about DotA,go back to your Wc3 subforum. This thread is only for discussion about SC2. Thats the only reason i love SC2,it seems like all 3 races have more mobility than SC1. No,Icefrog is now in Valve. except that zerg don't have the terrain crossing units(if i am not mistaken), protoss has the big ass colosus, while terran has the This post has been edited by dlct87: Feb 22 2010, 01:04 AM |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Mar 23 2010, 12:43 AM) In case you didn't subscribe to the official StarCraft channel (Facebook / Twitter), here's an interesting clip on how to box-out & crush Zerg critters with a comparatively smaller Protoss army. Don't bother checking out the first part as there's nothing interesting there. well then again, the zerg player could have researched burrow to counter the force field spam (the protoss player did not bring observer along i think)or he could just pull back his mutas and roaches out of range while waiting the force field timer to run out.... |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Mar 23 2010, 03:42 PM) There was an observer being sent over. I think it was mentioned in the first part which I didn't include here. Anyway, in StarCraft (1 & 2), there is no time for could have & if. A single mistake or mistiming is all a player needs to overwhelm or turn the tide around. agreed, its easier said than done just take it as an experience so that we will not freak out when we deal with this kind of situation in future games but kudos to the protoss player for being able to pull out the force field wall up in such a short time while focus firing on enemies muta army |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Mar 23 2010, 04:37 PM) pretty much, and/or not build mutas when he pretty much KNOWS the enemy only consist of stalkers/sentries :/ probably you're right, but at least he used some(if not any) micro as well since there was some zerlings and roaches slipped through the force field...but then i am not good at telling whether it was just Att+field spamming, or he actually did focus firedultralisks or broodlords would be insta gg on toss Added on March 23, 2010, 4:39 pm no focus firing was made, atk + move anyone? roach was OOR, thus the only thing stalkers/sentries could hit was the mutas, which made it seemed like it was focus firing. all the toss player did was spamming force fields lets not forget the AI/auto targeting threat level. didnt knew they have such a thing until the last patch about infestors mentioned it. if you play mmorpg/WoW, you'd understand it perfectly, else, take it as an auto targeting priority. |

QUOTE(MYNAMEISJASON @ Mar 23 2010, 09:45 PM) 1st I thought it was very smart, then I realized he was just shift spamming the force field. I do give him credit for building so many sentries with without getting crushed early game. basically the zerg did not made a serious pushing attempt early game (distract+delayed by the proxy pylon harass?)and when he finally decide to attack, he used the wrong unit (muta) even though he knew the protoss player has a bunch of stalker (and sentries)...=_= |
