hit and run can be done a bit. Terrans are the best examples (Marauders, Hellions, Vikings etc)

Units can stack but they do not stay stacked.
Starcraft II Beta FPVOD
Here's an example of hellion control.

Lurkers are possible but cannot be confirmed. There are a lot of discussions regarding the Zerg unit diversity and strengths of Terran units.

Previous teamliquid thingie, how previous? There are very low odds of not using Queens in SC2. You may start as a 14 hatch and 13 pool or just a 13 pool directly. They did use the queen right at the start even during presentation of playable SC2 in Blizzcon.

Generally Protoss should optimally stay 1 base ahead due to the defensive mechanics of Terran however in SC2 the course is strongly different due to the Immortal. It shuts down all Mech based play entirely. Bio play and other variants of Terran openings are being seriously difficult against 1 base Protoss at the moment. Discussion is still ongoing on how to counter without changing balance but are generally implying longer one base play.

From what I gathered, possible release date is during the summer of USA this year. I highly doubt it though due to balancing work for PvT and ZvZ.

I'm guessing there's going to be 2 servers for Asia

1 for Korea and China and the other for other countries within Asia lol. Besides, if you could fight up to their skill level, Europe and USA will be generally much easier lol.

Latency wise, its playable thats for sure.

Starcraft II FPVODs

These are some FPVODs from a Malaysian Starcraft 1 now playing Starcraft II. Sometimes its quite smooth sometimes horrible but generally, its playable.

Hi guys .. I'm new here.
Am actually from Brunei and a SC2 beta player.
Was wondering which server are you guys playing at ?
because at first it gave me the US client, and there's no way to solve the sort of 1 sec lag i have.

So I shifted to the EU client through the help of blizzard but still the same result..
I've seen post at the Battlenet forums from a Malaysian player experiencing lag same as me as well. So are you guys playing on the US server fine? or other server?

Thanks

Lags been getting bad lately and I happened to find something very useful. It turns out that Australians have these kind of problems before and they resort to proxy servers to reduce their ping / lag. I found a free one (At the moment) and its very effective which I tested just now. (From dead on continous lag to smooth without problems) Give this a try!

The fastest reapers would be out in the approximate Build order

7 rax (Proxy or without)
7 gas
barracks complete, techlab.
start supply as soon as reaper started.

For those having lag issues, try the battleping, im not having major lag issues now with it.

In terms of reliability, its working straight so far, its just connecting through a generally nearer proxy server rather than the congested pathways or something.

Security wise im unsure but you could check with the australians on that. They have to use these to get good ping.

Your sentries came out too late, you should have some zealots to accompany your stalkers. When you attack expansion you should have waited for all your other stalkers. He out teched you abit, cos he already have hydra, you should have high templars.

You let too many of your troops die in vain micro them.

Well, collosus is also another good option since you should have Robotics facility already for observers or immortals. Its cheaper to get the tech and doesn't take time to get energy. That's why HT isn't preferred as much. Of course you need to prepare against corruptors too.

Just done with my placement matches.

I am using Geforce GTX285 and i7 920.

Game runs at 60-70 fps, checked using FRAPS.

It's still very very jerky.
I get crashes once I finished downloading the patches or after applying the patches.

Considering their reputation, this should not have happened.

What settings are you using? I'm on GTS230 and i5

I can get 140 - 200+ FPS (Dependent on maps) on everything low except shaders medium. (Then again I could go higher but i'm recording for youtube wee)

Recording FPS on FRAPs approximately 70 - 90, smooth and fine.
