Well actually they graphics looked very good to me. I'm not much of a SC fan though.

Maybe you were viewing through youtube or still screenshots? blink.gif

Hmm if you do LAN at your friends' places, normally he got a wireless router with TM Nut access anyways. Very cheap so no issue there.

I'm only afraid the requirements will cause us to abandon our favorite CCs. It is very easy take the high moral road and say it is the CC's fault to not have originals + internet access, no one can argue with that. It still sucks a bit I guess.

Seriously though, anyone got any concrete reason for why offline LAN play is so crucial?
*
Yes. People like us have LAN sessions with colleagues when on overseas assignments. It is fairly hard to procure internet access on these situations.

You probably can't re-use the same logon on multiple clients, since you are still matched via the centralized Battlenet lobby.

However, once the game is in session packets will be local (?)

Also,
nobody has really given me any really solid proof as to why "Offline LAN = bad". Those scenarios that happens once in a blue moon don't really count.

Why should we? Your only strategy is to dismiss all credible scenarios as statistically once in a blue moon.

There's probably a large amount of unactivated content waiting to be mined by fans (ala WoW). 4GB is really big for a multiplayer client. It's bigger than a lot of X360 games.
