Yeah I hope SC2 isn't a re-baked bread.

It's just my expectation. Certain current games really set the bar high for the genre. Thus on personal level I'm very critical to any current RTS.

Every battle report i see is an improvement in graphics and animation term so I am satisfied with their progress

i am refering to your post. you said gameplay is superior. but i think what makes a good game is having both together. sc2 wasnt bad, but i believe they could do better. blizzards' super artists.

Blizzard is keeping mum on the purpose of that small lil' icon. Some guys claimed that they did not have that icon but once refreshed a few times, it will appear. Either it's nothing special or we're going to have Blizzard going Neo style: Beta testers. Lots of beta testers.

Strange,i hope they need lots of beta tester then.

Hope that i dont have to use their horrible Blizzard torrent.

Have you guys tried using this Bilzzard downloader from on a Linux platform?

If its like BT, it won't be capped.

If it's the same as the WoW patcher (and I think it is)... prepare to suffer in Malaysia, for some reason I never managed to make it work properly either and ended up using the HTTP download part of it most of the times

Hmmm, the Blizzard downloader works for me, if not mistaken where i read somewhere it purposely download slowly so that it forces everyone to contribute, rather than those with high speed connection gets it fast then close the DLer for good.

I can't find any indicator except the rough figure jumping between "About 3 hours" and "About 2 hours".

Inside the Wow downloading if you go to the detailed view you will see which peers you connect with and all.

By looking at that I noticed that all my torrent connection lasted only few seconds before ending. Inside the list of the peers I was seeing one "Http download" special source.

Blizz usually provide some HTTP sources that are embedded inside the torrent (like directly downloading the file from a server). I ended up downloading all my wow patches through that, which is stable but way slower than what the torrent could give me.

I know for sure it's something wrong with Malaysia since I was getting pimp speed when I was still in France.

I am not sure how it is with the "Blizzard Downloader" tool you guys have to use now, but I greatly doubt Blizzard created a brand new tool when they already have an existing one...

I do wish good luck to people downloading something bigger than a couple of Gb with that from Malaysia...
