Hey guys. Just a quick question. I have recently booked the waja cps and i was thinking to tint the windows. As i know from my SA, the car is already tinited? Some UV protection i think.  Is this true? If this is true, will i still be able to put on another layer of v-kool and security film without voiding the warranty of the existing and the new tinits?
*
nope. mine got no tints on it. maybe the glass itself is a bit tinted (which i doubt) but you can certainly put new tinting layers on it.

one layer tint is good enough. 2-layers will likely jam your window channels in the long term.

oic. i've tried to make the HID level but then the 'kink' is quite notable on the left side. so i have to adjust it down in order not to glare the left hand vehicle when i'm driving on dual lane roads...

eastwest, my aircon guy said to check once a year. if dirty only clean. if no gas only top up. normally if we do not carry any cotton fabric, the aircon unit /blower inside car is relatively clean. maybe 2-3 years service once..

for ur K&N air filter, you can stick the hexagon logo tat says.. "STOP! K&N FILTER INSIDE!!". it comes with the K&N filter (unless urs is 2nd hand). tat should do the trick. when i service mine at sc, they just knock knock and blew the edges to clean the dust. haha..

Thanks for the info~  wink.gif

if the Auto Door Lock not functioning,
can i bring it to SC check ?  hmm.gif

and how to use the remote trunk release?  sweat.gif
*
sure thing. SC will solve ur issues.

u need the handbrake down and press on your brakes to have the auto-lock down function. the button to the left of the foglight unlocks it but it does not lock it back. to lock it back, u need to press on the brakes and handbrakes down.
* added - if one of your doors is not closed properly, the auto lock will not function as well.

remote trunk release only can be used then the doors are unlocked. press the panic button (the smaller lower button on ur remote) and it should unlock the trunk. u will see that the signal will blink 3 times as well.

must be careful not to take too thick for rear ARB. it cause unbalanced cornering from understeer before oversteer esp in our FWD vehicles. read the ultra racing website why we need understeer in our FWD cars instead of oversteer. the main thing is the ease of control should we ever loose traction during cornering.

another point is that if we use thicker than ori ARB (front or rear), no doubt cornering will be improved but we will suffer is there the road is not flat. the car will follow the rhythm and feel like sampan or cars with stiff suspension. u will feel ur car rocking front and backwards.

i dun think gen2 can fit in 2-din HU.. hehe..

any brand is a good brand. but once you are into ICE, it starts to get expensive when you need to satisfy that ICE hunger.. hehe.. like what others said, set a budget first.

audit a few members who already installed their system and listen. then you will know what you like.

seriously with ur budget will get some entry level ones. i would start off with a subwoofer kit to get some decent bass sound for my songs.
Our ori front tweeter and mid + rear 6" should run for a year or two before giving way... at that point in time, you can opt to upgrade those components. that's what i've done last time in my wira. now, i just change the whole set.. front component + subwoofer. my rear still stock speakers. decent to my liking. damage.. abt rm3k.. hehe...

remember to get your budget correct and know what you want. u wun regret...

Just did my 3rd service today.

I wonder does it void warranty if I bring my own engine oil. I brought my own oil & filter to service @ subang SC. However the SA told me will void engine warranty shocking.gif

As I know in Sec13 SC, they allow us to bring own oil ...
*
impossible void warranty la... they wan earn more only...

actually... if u think about it.. does your life worth that puny rm1300?

dun forget that you are carrying others in the car and your family will depend on those 4 pcs of rubbers to handle the car well.

of coz if u do think about driving crazily.. then its a different thought altogether la...

anyhow, everyone got budget.. hehe.. just make sure the tyres have enough depth in the threads will do.

keep safe during holiday season everyone. Selamat hari raya~
