guys, may i know what is the colour temperature for original waja cps headlight?
Is it alright to install 4300k HID on a old waja 4G18?
*
43000k if not mistaken. You can install to 4G18 an aftermarket HID but prepare a lot of 'duit kopi'. whistling.gif

Your budget is more than enough for GAB.

4300k same as CPS installed on 4g18 also kacao? i know some p1gs will say 'lampu putih, tak boleh' but 4300k is as same as their waja cps rite, can i answer back 'lu boleh, saya mia tak boleh?'
what if i change to the original CPS headlight? (that might sound stupid i know)
*
Or, you can try making your car similar to CPS ver, like changing grill and front bumpers + CPS emblem on the back. It should be cheaper than changing headlight since its RM3k++ per pair. hmm.gif

That's the one im referring lol .. claim direct from factory, price is cheap only rm220 ..
i wonder is there any diff in term of quality compare to r3 with logo

btw i called up daryl proton coe, he said got gen2 campro spring R3 , rm475

huhuu thinking which 1 to go now \
*
IMHO, rm475 is too high for just a 'brand'.

IMO, R3 doesn't have a factory so they send their design with all the parameter/setting to a 3rd party factory to manufacture. So maybe someone manage to get the spec and use the same factory to manufacture the rm220 ver. hmm.gif

yep i agree on ur points for the service/bleeding intervals. i normally do it at 35k kms juz ahead of the recommended schedule. i have done the steel braided hose (SBH) for brakes before on my wira (now driving waja) and the braking feedback is superb.

i would say that changing from rubber to SBH is good upgrade and it wun actually introduce harsh braking. it can still be comfortable as well. how to be comfortable? by anticipating ur stopping distance and controlling ur foot pressure on the brakes. nobody jam brakes every time rite? for me, to have SBH is a good investment because it makes your brakes more reliable under extended braking (like going down genting where u will regularly step on the brakes).

i have previously used bendix metal king but nowadays i hear more of the bendix general CT or the titanium stripe. no harm spending more on brakes coz u dun change it that often and more importantly, u really really count on them to stop on time. i can skim on engine parts but i never skim on brake parts coz u will require them the most.

above are my humble opinion. Happy CPS-ing  cool.gif

So your next upgrade is cross-drilled disc? brows.gif

Actually, exhaust upgrade are mostly try and error as it require calculation and testing. Using smaller diameter will strain the engine at high rpm but gasses can flow faster due to vacuum effect at low rpm. So you got better low-end power. The opposite will happen with using bigger diameter. But I really don't think using different diameter between exhaust component is recommendable.

IMO, using backpressure is the easiest way to gain 'some' pick-up at the expense of high end power.

So, its depend on your driving charateristic to choose which is better.

And changing to aftermarket header will certainly release some power because the cat-con is removed.

Hi Guys I would like to know whether you are able to claim warranty on the power window as my Waja has just passed 2 years old. I also have the brake failure and ABS light malfunction.
*
I don't think any CPS is over 2 years old, mine is the oldest, 1y9m old. Anyway, the warranty is just for 2 years, the extra 3 years only covers engine and transmission. nod.gif

Thanks for the reply. My is non-cps. By the way just out of curiousity is the CPS that good as I am really dissapointed with my Campro.

I am in the process of bailing out from Waja but it is embarassing to mention trade in as everybody wants to press down the price of my Waja. No offence to you guys I hope.
*
Your're right, because of the CPS ver. the Campro 2nd hand price are affected. Its kinda unfair for Proton to sold 'unfinished' product to customer.

Nut if you want to let go of your Waja, better do it quick, before the replacement model comes out next year.

Your statement not entirely correct, but correct me if i'm wrong. Waja Campro is selling cheaper compare with CPS model . Every car manufacture must refresh their sales and product line. I wouldn't say they are selling unfinish good to consumer . The decision is lies to your own. Anyway, if your car no problem and good condition then why bother to change . All types of car in Malaysia, no resell value.

    My other car Nissan Sentra 1.8 XG-L, 2007 purchased at Rm 100 K  . Now market value only Rm 60 K ++.
   That's my own opinion only.
*
Yeah, you also got a point there and buying a car is never an investment. Anyway, Waja was supposed to use Campro CPS, but during its launch, the engine still not complete. So Proton decide to use 4g18. Then when Campro non-CPS available, they straightaway use it in Waja which is not suitable because the lack of low end torque. This gave the bad impression of campro because of the high FC.

The main thing which I think is unfair is not main people know about the existence of CPS before and after its launch in Waja (except fot net-tizen), only after a few month only the advertise in media. I only rely on internet to get 'rumoured' soft launch date. At that day, no brochure (only got a photostat paper listing the difference and feature) and no test drive are available.

Good Day,
I'm not really sure of changing the original exhaust system can really boost performance or fuel consumption but i believe that  Proton Engineer had studied and engineered the best exhaust to match the engine criteria and fuel consumption. Better do some homework before deciding to take advise from exhaust shop cause they only bother of making sales and profit only.  Promised everything .....end up only being their labratory's testing mice. LOSING RM $$$$
*
OEM setting is all about balance between FC, power, durability, clean emission, cost and so on.

Modifying will give more power with the sacrifice of clean emission (remove cat-con), noise (straight flow muffler), FC (piggyback), durability (high pressure fuel pump), cost (high flow airfilter) and so on... a never ending list. laugh.gif

*
For normal service service, no problem. But for warranty claims, depend on luck, usually they will ask you to do to EON.

Nothing can be done if compared to MT, the transmission loss for AT is about 20%++ while MT 15%.

I wanna ask something about waja cps manual owner here..

Your gearbox izit having a black cover below the gearbox? I had realize something that some cps is using gearbox without the the black cover below the gearbox and some is having the cover (new batch cps). If it have the cover below, it was a mivec gearbox. I see some of my customer cps first batch gearbox is different.
*
So, mine is mivec GB hmm.gif ? But my car cannot check, too low.. doh.gif laugh.gif

Use 3m double sided foam tape and add some '502' plastic glue (get from hardware shop). Really strong stuff. Make sure you don't get your hand in contact with the 502, its in liquid form.
