QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Oct 27 2009, 10:53 PM) anyone still keep their stock RIM after changed to sport RIM? (15'' stock RIM) last time i was thinking to keep the stock RIM, scare not afford for good tires in future, so can downgrade back to 15'' anytime Not worth keeping it, wasting space...new 15" rims is around RM800 only. Besides, price 195/60/15 is not as cheap as 195/50/15.

QUOTE(jeffrinder @ Oct 28 2009, 05:28 PM) i still think its not normal In MT case, the weird thing is when you depressed the throttle and pressed the clutch, the rpm will jump up a bit, and you can also drive without even pressing the pedal without it stalled even in 5th gear (as long as you don't pressed the brake).

I'm not sure whether to agree or disagree on the 15 year old (and older) car policy If the tax for import is reduced, surely people would opt o buy japan 2nd hand since used car dealer have to lower down the price QUOTE(singchaii @ Oct 28 2009, 09:32 PM) I wanna ask u guy, how long u guy wait for the waja cps? 3 weeks.

QUOTE(kcng @ Oct 29 2009, 09:28 AM) lol this rpm jump up wont be solve wan la... its the characteristic of the ECU + DBW combo... lol its just a matter of how high the rpm will jump only... mine jumped to 3.5k before and stay there for 10secs before too LoL unplug the battery connector is easier ma... lol u damage the fuse connector how? reset ECU and remap ECU is different ah... DBW will create some lag. Thus, you can feel during accelerating and decelerating.

QUOTE(kcng @ Oct 29 2009, 01:41 PM) actually by right DBW is supposedly to be faster/more accurate (whatever that means) then cable... its the calibration from the manufacturer that is causing the lag... Electronic control will always have some lags compared to mechanical. But it is easier to 'set/calibrate' as it is in form of 'software/programming'.

QUOTE(whoopa @ Oct 29 2009, 04:37 PM) ahaha dunwan sticker la .. want to paint it but dunno how much lol. the black thing ah .. its like a board or something. when you open you bonnet. its at the top there 1 .. supposedly to keep the engine noise down 1 . u knwo? Carbon fibre sticker is the trend nowadays and the qulity is also very good. Some people stick it on the entire hood. That bonnet insulator/damper you can use 3m double sided to stick it back.

QUOTE(whoopa @ Oct 29 2009, 05:23 PM) stick ah .. lol ... bad experience will double sided tape la bro lol ... just wondering is that thing important ah? how much to stick the carbon fiber sticker ? Actually, bodykit such as skirting (PU) are also attach using 3m tape. To make it stronger, you can use '302' glue (the container looks like eye-mo) from hardware shop and put a few drop to the tape. This stuff is really strong. But please be careful not to stick your hand. Carbon fibre sticker can just diy. Use heat-gun or hair dryer to 'bend; it into shape. Lighter can also be used.

QUOTE(jctasoga @ Oct 29 2009, 06:04 PM) rm100-rm150 for DIY. its black and foam type... i think called insulfex. it comes with adhesive at the back. just peel and stick on. but you will need to have 2 thickness. 10mm and 6mm ones. stick the 10mm on the 'patches' and then the 6mm ones on the entire engine hood. tats the best and maximum sound shield. actually, i would think the black piece is there to protect the engine from splashing water and some heat coming onto the engine cover only... I don't think insuflex can withstand the high temperature of the engine bay as its used for sound dampening. That OEM insulator is also fire resistance.

My friend offered me his unichip since he quit modding after an accident... donno wanna take it or not. Previously used in his gen2.

QUOTE(eujinee @ Oct 29 2009, 07:51 PM) take it man...tuned ur ECU..let cps on at 4200rpm...thn AF ratio..thn rev till 8k rpm...woohoo.. I will try asking him to 'loan' it to me to test 1st.. Why la no bonus this year But opening CPS at 4.2k imo is not necessary unless the cam is higher (high cam req high rpm to be optimal).

QUOTE(jctasoga @ Oct 29 2009, 10:23 PM) haha... stop poisoning newbies with MT la.. although i'm a MT user myself.. its really nice. btw, i removed the stopper below the accelarator.. can spin wheels during cornering too... hehe... i have no comments abt unichip. i heard tat chipping or retune maps are only after you maxed out ur engine specs... Yeah, piggyback supposed to be installed at the end of upgrading project to save cost on tuning. But since there's not much upgrading and aftermarket part for CPS and I already done most of the minor mod, maybe I could give it a try.

QUOTE(coz4u @ Oct 29 2009, 10:48 PM) haha. good mods anyway myth lcp, do you think worth the money? i heard it worsen the car's top speed. anyway, wad other mods you looking forward to? Added on October 29, 2009, 10:49 pmyea. still got power. but of cz not as effective as the shifting gear in manual. Actually I got it 2nd hand, so cheaper than new one. Compared to exhaust and intake mod, I suggest do the exhaust/intake 1st. No problem with top speed but got problem with wheel spin when turning at junction and dragging at traffic light.

QUOTE(coz4u @ Oct 29 2009, 11:03 PM) I did my exhaust mod. i did 4-2-1 extractor, 1 bullet, 1 midbox and ori piping. then, i also done some ayam brand open pod. front and rear struct bars. wad else can i do for performance mod? I am thinking which is the next priority Maybe could go for LCP (or complete pulleys set when they finish RnD , saw ur post at automotive garage). Or go for better spark plugs and cables. But between these two, I would suggest LCP. Added on October 29, 2009, 11:07 pmQUOTE(eujinee @ Oct 29 2009, 11:00 PM) yah..any different after installing myth lcp???isit the same size as the original CP Same size, but nicer shape and colour. QUOTE(coz4u @ Oct 29 2009, 11:10 PM) haha. wad do you mean by complete pulleys set? I keep reading a lot of pros and cons of LCP. STRESSING! haha. Good acceleration but then the car itself so light adi. scare when cornering can even fly adi. xD The only cons of LCP I experienced is that you will loose momentum faster when decelerates (depressing the throttles). But this can be easily overcome by improvising throttle control, depressed the pedal a little and not complexly lift up your feet.
