for new wheels and new tyres, center cone is a must have. coz most rims are not made to 100% fit into our wheel hubs. most vibrations will be solved then. the on-wheel balancing is mainly to correct the minor points that are still imbalanced.

how much the cost to do on wheel balancing using that equipment.. how the respon after that

using lower weight oils is better for FC. at least that's what i felt and my record also shows it. check the attachment.

hm... i tot on wheel balancing only for high speeds vibration checking? I always see those tyre shop ppl touch the fender and ask another person hold the steering to feel for vibrations.. 

anyway, vibration gone ok la!

lol.. RM50.. i got cheated.... i bought it at RM120 when i bought new sport rim (from standard) last month..

oic... got mixed up with all the vibrations.. 

why can't they make all the hub sizes standard... sigh... maybe differ according to engine capacity only... sigh...

sorry to hear tat bro. anyway, the first service can refer to first post. +/- the same. touch up depends on ur relationship with the painter.. some don't charge, others charge a bit while some require u spray the whole door / area... u can also buy from outside using the colour code from autopaint shop. there is another brand which comes in small bottles of pre-mixed paint.. i forgot wat brand liao...

other than the abs kong signs u mentioned, the last or late-stage sign is when u see ur tyres have waves on the tyre shoulders. this indicated the absorbers are too soft to rebound quickly.... the problem is, we won't notice it until its too late unless you go for 5k tyre rotation service and have very very curious eyes. i'm not sure how the shops really tests the abs for its efficiency though... haven seen the machine before..

Been MIA for sometime now. Congrats on V4 of the forum. Have a couple of question which I can't seem to find from search function. Hope you don't mind and my apologies if the questions have been answered before.

1. K&N drop in replacement filters. Anyone knows which model to buy? Is it the "33-2074" model?

2. Does our CPS aircon come with a slot to fit a filter? Some people say yes and others say no. Anyone install it before?

guess i'm not alone then.. haha.. i do mostly town driving and start stop traffic. wat to do... i'm trying the caltex ron95 for a few tanks and see if there are any differences. so far have got some positive review.

the subjective part is the 'feeling' of the engine during CPS engagement. i do notice after using caltex ron95 the engine is more livelier after entered CPS zone. this is compared to using shell's ron95. shell wan tends to puff puff a bit after the CPS engaged... i will keep trying a few more times. waiting to try mobil and bhp and petronas after this. i have a tendency to try bhp and petronas last is because the outlets near my house are pretty old and not so nice environment. i prefer shell which is bigger and more spacious and clean as well. its well taken care place.

anyhow, using lower weight oils are definitely better for your FC and it still provides adequate protection if you do your service intervals well and on time. cheers and happy driving.

that center cone RM60/pcs or 4 pcs... mine RM120 for 4 pcs.. not sure expensive or not... but suppose rawang sell it lower... they got a lot of nice rims here.. too nice even i hardly to choose one and their shop so near which each other... 

hard to compare prices la.. centrecone used to come in rubber a few donkey years. nowadays i think its all metal type. i only scared it will rust and get stuck to the hub only... well, just think yours is gold plated if u paid more for it compared to others..... no hard feeelings!! 

try petronas..provide pretty good milage...high rev..still so so...compare to ron97

i also never realize got filter in aircon too.. maybe can ask SC when doing next service. my air con noisy when the speed above level 3 speed.

iridium i intend to change somewhere around wat Zen taiko said : at 70k or earlier if the plugs decided to foul. if its above 70k, i might buy back the iridium 2nd time; else i will keep to stock copper plugs. coz it doesn't bring any added advantage (other than lighter wallet when you high rev it kao kao).
erhm... how do u "BERSIHKAN" the coolant?   

i'm thinking anything above RM150 for engine oil is quite pricey.. tats why i went to use a lower grade oil.. hehehe...

RM 10 for 3 tyre refill with 1 tyre zero to  full fillin...Normal new pump nitro RM 5 -RM 6 per tyre... but  but ya lah i tot  htey will charge me 6 to 7 ringgit...refilling perpcs onli rm1.....

semi sync like castrol magnetec is 7k intervals....

i service every month...yah..is kidda burden but wat to do..car needs to be healthy..i service my car outside now..no more SC..SC is expensive...better give work shop service...total up just only rm120 include caltrol magnetec semi and oil filter.....and ya..change my ATF oil to castrol too...coz me rm 440 bucks for 7 liter...f***...my car millage now is 68k ...haih..the highest here...

i haven get my radiator flush yet..but soon..

so far..after changed extrator..piping and muffler...car much more rev happy...heheh..plus LCP..i think it save fuel too...

our original piping is too big...2.2" with 2" inlet diameter....currently running on 1.8" diameter

hotbitz recomend to downgrade to 1.8" ..coz our car CC is 1.6 only.. .compression aint big...mayb lack of back preassure or somethning.......even honda civic 2.0 piping is not 2" la...

I'm not aware about the driving conditions statement in gen2 user manual. Only realize that the intervals printed on service manual clearly shows 10K intervals. I need to read back the user manual.

I've change to 1.85 inch pipe december last year. 9 months using it already. But honestly i don't really like it and planning to get a bigger pipe. Maybe 2" or try to get the original piping size. I've tried driving another exhaust modified gen2 cps that maintain its original pipe and quite surprised with the difference. Pickup alot more better than mine.

So far I only used Proton's engine oil. Usually petronas 800 semi synthetic. Currently using petronas minerals. No difference in car's performance noted but the engine's temperature dial is a little higher than when I'm using semi synthetic. I did once used idemitsu semi synthetic and personally feel it's better than petronas semi.

ok..currently ron 95 mine is full tank 380km..pedal to the metal..all the way ....weird...

our car book stated gear box oil nead abt 2.2, 2.1 liter cannot remember... so.. have to buy 3 then use 2 and half.. another half kept for future...

latest reading... after use fully synthetic.. ron 95.. 428km = RM 62... 70% highway maintain 120-160kmh...

piping size is important to get either good pick up or top speed...so far im using 1.8" my car feel better pick up...less power to move the car even full load..my car is auto la...im not sure manual shld mantain original 2"
