seriously, i got no idea and its proprietary (the colonel's 12th secret spice). biggrin.gif

i did see him go into my car with the MUT handheld thingy. then after a while come back.

1 thing i did notice is that the rpm is slower in climbing but its more 'oomph' over all the rpms. idling still at 800rpm. i seriously have not open the CPS enough to know the power la.. but i kinda like this setting. maybe also after service.. so the car feel really nice. my fender sound also almost gone already.. which is good too!

seriously, its my butt dyno only.. u might wan to try it out too. different ppl got different feel.

i'm now after the 17" rims...  brows.gif

This is what the reply i got from Speedworks :

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Actually, our extractor's size is 1.75 inch as it's the best size for the car. To use 2 inch exhaust on the car will cause the car to have slower pick-up speed.

Our whole exhaust system is 1.75 inch.

Please find attached a list of performance parts we have for your car.

Thank you

Regards,

Eugene Ng

any stage 2 (and up) perfomance mods will void the warranty regardless of brand...

thienwu, have you finished your auditing work?

Should i replace the power steering fluid as well?
roughly how much changing?  blink.gif
*
if your power steering fluid is dirty then you should change... but i think you should wait until 40k - 50k...
the fluid itself is RM30++ depending on brand... you can also you gear oil for that... not so sure about manual trans but for ATF like mine, you can use ATF for power steering fluid...

QUOTE(jctasoga @ Nov 8 2009, 06:18 PM)
Kaki Bukit in Perlis is the most northern point in whole Malaysia. tats according to my Perlis-born colleague. abt 3 hrs from penang though... sweat.gif
I can share my experience driving my CPS to Perlis (from KL) that took place earlier this year. We went up all the way to Padang Besar and on our way back, we stopped at Kaki Bukit and explore the famous Gua Kelam. The only place i didn't go is Wang Kelian because of limited time (we were heading back straight to KL). Kaki Bukit is near Perlis State Park (the access to the park is situated near Wang Kelian though)...

In my opinion if have time then you can drive up Wang Kelian. The town is located near the Perlis-Thai border (the other one being Padang Besar). The 1-km radius area is designated as document free, meaning you only show NRIC and you can be on the other side of the border. I'm not sure about the time limit but I think the access is allowed until 5pm or 6pm.

Based on my journey up north, I can conclude that the farthest point driveable by car is Wang Kelian. If locals say it otherwise then by all means.... smile.gif

p/s: route taken: KL - Alor Star(1-nite) - Kubang Pasu - Kodiang - Arau - Padang Besar - Kaki Bukit - Kangar - Kuala Perlis - KL

Update: Just checked my travel mileage journal, it seems the distance from say KL - Padang Besar and KL - Kaki Bukit, the distance is almost the same (+- depending route taken).....

Next, come to the west-est place of Malaysia and also Asian continent, Tangjung Piai.
*
you are right spirote, Tangjung Piai is my next target. So far I've driven my CPS to Padang Besar on the north, Kota Bharu on the east and JB on the south.

If anyone here interested to have a beautiful scenic driving experience then I'd recommend driving to Pulau Banding. Breathtaking views... drool.gif

Apart from that I've also reached the tip of Borneo, Simpang Mengayau in Sabah (sadly without my CPS)

Oh.. Tq.. Afraid as kelantan now already in raining/ flood season... sad.gif

Pearjar, I went to KB last year in early December. If my memory serve me right, I took the route KL - Kuantan - KT(3nights) - KB(1night) - Gua Musang - Bentong - KL. It started to rain from Bentong and I only see the sun when I reached back KL. I even had to cross flood about the height of my tyres when passing Pasir Puteh. Drive from KB to KL took me almost full 12 hours due to heavy rains and lane closure.

Perhaps next time you could treat me .... biggrin.gif, i know 1 good place for seafood tomyam there...

bout the r3parts, one r3 man told me r3 never have any official website yet..so r3parts is 'someone else' who become agent
sell r3 parts..they markup price really high..eg i buy my r3 carpet from r3 just rm130 while r3parts sell it rm200..
i suggest to go straight away to r3 place near proton s. alam if interested with r3 parts.. icon_rolleyes.gif
*
yes indeed... r3 have no official websites just yet... the website mentioned earlier is a reseller website...
pricewise, its quite expensive... please direct your r3 needs to r3 itself, proton coe to be precise...

Plan to go there .... after some "upgrades"... blink.gif

btw i have a question spirote.

1. your ride is with full set r3 abs + spring am i right?
2. referring earlier thread where your BP tt buddies said your ride is too low, how low and how high can the setting be adjusted?
3. does r3 compromise too much comfort? i mean do you have other ride for the whole family to travel especially long distance?
4. imagine a scenario where you have to ferry your pregnant wife, will she nag about the hardness of the setting (not the other one tongue.gif ) and cause her to 'terbranak' in the car itself?

sekian terima kasih encik professor r3... biggrin.gif

to be honest with you guys, i find the cps front grill kinda ugly, no offence
i still prefer the 4g18 look, plan to change to R3 bodykit, everything is nice about the r3 front bumper except it does not fit fog lamps!
guess I'll just stick to my halogen bulb for main headlight
changed my fog lamp to 4300k H3 supervision for RM350, is it worth it?
*
none taken my good fellow, however i do find the R3 front grill uncanningly similar with a smilling cat... biggrin.gif
