The possibilities are endless with Natal.... err... in a good way.

Let's hope its not going to cost mighty dollars. Motion sensor tech has never been this good... and its for the 360!

Omai..
I only watch a bit off E3 Natal vid,
Missed a lot of stuff..
But scanning, voice, HoLy SHi-
The first dodging and punching was like OMG!
Slap-in-da-face for Wii.
Hope this stuff really works..

This not only amazed me, it shocked me. Its not just a new gadget for the 360, its something of a technological "evolution"... its downright astonishing. This is available for download on Video Marketplace along with other cool E3 2009 game trailers.

The possibilities, limitless. Its definitely the future of gaming.

well yea i was focusing on that aspect .. and i meant a lot of people are hyped about it because of that demo in particular ... not the "elephant" lol... in any case we havent seen anything yet so cant say 100% for sure .. i just hope it doesnt turn out to be a crappy short lived add-on like the hd-dvd drive ...

Highly doubt it will end up like HD-DVD - - tech (this case HD format) that died with competition (Blu-Ray).

Natal not only is a huge competition, it is tech on a level unseen before. Also the fact that Microsoft claims developers are already looking into using Natal. There is news that Epic and Bungie are on it already.

Having said that, this tech isn't going to be gone with the dinosaurs. It is the future, and makes the PS3 Motion Controller + Wii seems very outdated (with still the 'controller' barrier occuring).

As Steven Spielberg said "Microsoft has not just reinvented the wheel, there is no wheel."

Milo & Kate tech demo was very very cool. I was scratching my head on that demo, because Milo's AI and response was unlike anything we've ever seen in a video game tech demo. As to how feasible this is in current availability, I would say it is possible. That sort of AI level is indeed possible but would take years and years of development (watching the tech demo, I said to myself "Wow, this could take half a decade to reach), and Peter and his team have no issues with long periods of development time. Peter is a guy that loves research before development. Milo is confirmed to be Peter's much touted "Project Dimitri".

All in all, Natal is not 100% going to work as they showed, perhaps, but it is how its suppose to work. Can you imagine what Epic or Bungie can come up with that uses Natal ? Super Punching Master Chief 1000 ? Lol... the future is so damn exciting with Natal. One is only limited now with their imagination.

Impressive stuff, though still in beta. As IGN's Jeremy said "I kept asking the character questions just as though he was a real person -- but because of the early stage of his development, he just stared at me wondering what the heck I was talking about.."

June 13 (during E3) Microsoft has a Natal presentation, so look out for that. I am confident the 360 is going to shine again at E3!

RM530... sweat.gif OK I had RM550 on the back of my mind but still... looks like not going to be on Kinect anytime soon. Maybe next year. Hopefully my Xbox still alive until then (fingers-crossed!).
