QUOTE(MonsterPips @ Apr 22 2014, 04:01 PM) Every Contractor has their own sets of Skills.Usually Yes, there will be Aluminium at the Edge. Lexan* Grade of MWS, would have round edge on the side end, which you do not need to cover. You should pay attention to the Top and Bottom End, which need the Anti-Dust Tape & Aluminium to protect it SABIC SFS |

QUOTE(swgiant @ May 7 2014, 08:23 AM) Hi,All Polycarbonate require a MIN 3 degree slope to allow rain water to flow. Best Scenario would be 7 degree or more 2 things may happen Lexan* Grade has an UV Coating on the Smooth Surface. We able to coat on the smooth surface not the textured surface. Therefore, if the textured Surface are facing the Sun, it will gradually turn yellow and break after a period of time. Secondly, water and dirt will retain at the groove of the Textured surface. The Sheet will gradually stains ( Polycarbonate WITHOUT Coatings has poor chemical resistant). Eventually, you will loose you Light Transmission. Hope this helps. SABIC SFS |

quote=gilabola,May 31 2009, 02:07 PM] I planning to cover part of my porch.... any recommendations what would be a cost effective way to do it? So far I've looked at 1. ajiya awning... RM 8 psf. Cons: Ugly, and noisy when it rains 2. Polycarbonate skylight: RM 12 psf using mild steel frame. Cons:Steel frame needs to be painted every couple of years Any other options? Any one has reliable contractors to recommend? Appreciate any advice. Thanks [/quote] |
