WHY ISNT THIS ANNOUNCED IN BURSA?

http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-natio...0218-1azct.html

Hayman Island to close for cyclone rebuild

One of Queensland's most popular resort islands will be closed to tourists for four months while the operator rebuilds facilities wrecked by two cyclones.

Cyclone-battered Hayman Island in the Great Barrier Reef will shut down between March 6 and July 31 to repair massive damage caused by Cyclone Anthony in January and Cyclone Yasi on February 2.

Mulpha Australia, which owns and operates the island, made the announcement on Friday.

"The two devastating cyclones that swept through Queensland have unfortunately not spared us," said Mulpha Australia spokesman Lloyd Donaldson.

As the extent of the damage was realised, it became clear major works were required, he said.

"The works will encompass key guest and accommodation areas, activity facilities, essential infrastructure, landscaping and grounds throughout the island," Mr Donaldson said.

"This has been an extremely difficult decision for Mulpha Australia, particularly with its current and ongoing investment strategy for the island.

"However, the works required and anticipated disruption to guests mean we have no other choice."

Let's pump this topic up again.

I think even with the news in Australia, it won't have effect since Mulpha investment not only in Australia but in HK and China as well.

The volume seem to be accumulating during Libyan crisis and Japan earthquake, especially when Goldman is throwing, they are buying it back.

Anyone have more info to share? As far as I know, it has 22% shares in Mudajaya. Which I think it's undervalue at the moment.

Cheers. :-)

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 4): The Securities Commission (SC) has reprimanded the board of the directors of Mulpha International Bhd for failure to ensure the full disclosure of information in its abridged prospectus.

The SC said on Wednesday that Mulpha was reprimanded the previous day for failure to ensure the final basis of allocation of excess rights shares was consistent with the basis disclosed in the company’s abridged prospectus dated Feb 24, 2010.

I've read a lot of comments here but no one ever mentioned the GOLD MINE in Mulpha.... that is it owns 25% of AVEO Group, a public listed company in Australia in the retirement home business, which share price is doing very well (price per share steadily rising from AUD 1.00 in 2013 to AUD 3.34 currently)

Here's reference to Mulpha annual report- http://www.financialreport.biz/File/AR/201...31289494452.pdf

Annual report 2015 pg 102 and 107 mentioned Mulpha's shareholding in AVEO Group

On AVEO- here is the link for easy reference- http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/AOG:AU

It is trading at market capitalisation of A$ 1.8 billion !! or around RM 5.3 billion!!! Which means Mulpha's value of 25% x RM 5.3 billion = RM 1.3 billion!!

It is shown as an associate co, so it is not consolidated in the balance sheet, instead Mulpha only shares its profits...

pg 103 of the annual report 2015, shows that AVEO has a yearly sales of RM 1.3 bil and net profit of RM 272 mil

All this value is in addition to its large landbank in Johor as already pointed out by other commentators here so I wont repeat on that....

Disclaimer:- I own mulpha shares and I'm not asking you to buy or sell, just sharing info

heres an article on Mulpha and AVEO - http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...s-in-australia/
