Today I just went to CMY at 1 Utama. The shop doesn't seems to have sales, just 2 regular staffs hanging around in the shop.

I went in and ask for the price of Denon AVR-1909. They sell it at RM2640! Then I ask them if they're having any sales and the salesman just show me a Denon 5.1 speaker package for RM2400!!! (4 small satellites and 1 small subwoofer) He even say can give me a good deal of RM5000 total...

So, I wasn't interested to ask further and head straight to Desa HT Kepong.

which shop in SP u buy from? sp got CMY?

Nope, u can try go Central Square, 3rd floor.. some of speaker or AVR they sell r cheaper but some very expensive, especially the cable.

dropped by CMY jusco balakong y'day...was expecting alot of crowds but i was the only one there...when asked about the 'sale' as advertised in the Star, he pulled out a tiny pcs of white paper with few items listed as being 'on sale'

apparently, only Denon brand of products on sale and mostly old stuffs...AVR1909, wasn't on sale but was quoted RM2490 cash & carry...and i can get better deal esle where..

can't believe they wasted their money on ads just for few items being on sale...

final word, forget about even visiting the shop if you're expecting huge discount

ahh...then same shop that i went la....their service bad? i find that still ok la...maybe i din met with HT shop with great service before yet (most shop i went all got sucky service)

i do agree that their cables are expansive >.< but they are the only shop in SP that sell better HT gears....

Actually i think is ok one if they dint use the double side tape to hang the piping. After 3 days the piping falling itself, call them coming to settle it but after 1 week still dint coming so i have to settle myself loh.

i was in penang CMY, just look see only, nothing special sale going on also, but the dynaudio looks really good.,...

nice guy also, spoke to me in hokkien, but i reply in english... hehe

Yup, except the subwoofer. Only the cable and wiring thing me already kena around 2~3k...... is too over for me....

mind to share what you buy from them?

and the price?

i also get my full system from them except my PS3, and my cables also almost reach rm2k liao

U pay them first or after they done it u baru pay...I have told Amanda i want the normal cable enough, then they install the expensive cable also never let me know first until they finish the work n calculate all the amount for me.... , that time already around 4am... me also blur blur ad.....

i settle the full amount after 2weeks plus they siap pasang, as steven know my dad well (my dad bought the whole system from him 10 years ago)

however, my mum's fren told me that they will install expansive stuff for you without letting you know it, and finally only charge you gao gao.
tats why i keep on press them to give me the final price, and tell them that i won't pay any extra money for it

for such: they told me my speakers + avr will cost rm8k, my projector + screen will cost rm5k, so in total i just pay them rm13k

Mine one AVR, speaker, wiring+piping, bracket for speaker and projector=Rm11210. The price is after i try nego with them until they less around 2k for me...

ahh, i see. wonder why they never recommend Whafedale to me when i ask them since both our items are about the same besides the AVR

CMY never cheap...

they are smart in a way they become dist for some brands too and control the price...

i wish got parallel importer that sell cheaper....
