Hi, I'm a Civil Engineering student, first year, in UNITEN. Since the Civil population is not as huge as the other branches of engineering in UNITEN, I'd like to ask if there is any seniors here I could know, and meanwhile who can also sell/recommend some secondhand books to me. So far, the only books (/references) that I am being informed to have are

1. Thomas Calculus (Pearson/Addison Wesley)
2. Hibbeler RC Engineering Mechanics : Statics (Prentice Hall Pearson)

My other question is, are there any references which are not exactly needed and lecturer's notes would be enough?

Hi all...already 2 weeks in uniten...Actually uniten is not that bad and is better than my expectation.I'm a chinese boy doing foundation in civil engineering...The wi-fi in uniten is terrible...!!! apartment's line so slow...!!! I only can access to this this website in the admin building...!!! I want to know whether there are many people using broadband in this campus as the internet will disconnected syiok syiok...hehe....

You can't get external broadband unless going Wireless (3G/WiMax).

But yeah, UNITEN's internet has been sucky for quite some time. They upgraded like 2 years ago, but recent change to 24/7 internet just makes congestion a WHOLE LOT worse. Better make a protest or sumthing to ITMS. They seriously need to upgrade those lines.

Rule-wise, pet aren't allowed. But I've seen a few people bringing their pets. From the rodent type to snakes.
