Told you all to short, didn't I ? KLSE is full of sharks and this boat is sinking..

my plan is take 20k out, now buy first batch and see if it drop, if drop 20% I avg down another 4 lot, I'll continue until I run out of bullet then I sit and stare at my notebook like a mad person tongue.gif

This is my first presentable share rclxms.gif

Just out of curiosity, regardless of the amount that you have, what is percentile of your first batch
of the stock that you wish to purchase?

No, what I meant is.. is your strategy like this:

Buy 20% of the first batch
Buy 20% of the second batch when the price drops 20%
Buy 20% of the third batch.. when the price drops another 20%
.. so forth

like this, slowly accumulating till you hit your 100% max? nod.gif

tomorrow SAAG, SCOMI, KNM, ALAM, KENCANA, TGOFF, OILCORP anything got to do with oil company we all queue la..
queue 5 ticks lower..
see can get or not.. haha....
*
Personally, I believe there is a huge bubble again for Oil. Even OPEC says they don't want to cut but leave things as is,
speculators are pumping up.. all ready to blast to US$80/barrel by end of this July.
This is crazy.. Inventory is huge.. oil tankers are afloat, not delivering as much and world consumers aren't consuming as much,
fundalmentals aren't working here.

Anyway, GL to you! rclxms.gif

if supply so much.. why oil price shoot up since no demand or no consumption..?
Anyway... for oil company like KNM is totally speculative...
*
That's why I said.. it's all BS speculation at the Oil market and the bubble is growing.

The front runners are pumping up the front month price, consumption is far
less than expected, inventory is high and contango still exist. A large
amount of oil are still store on floating tankers which yet to come on shore.

hmm.gif Maybe it is US dollar.. the 10month treasury versus 2 month gap has widen quite a bit,
there is a fear of hyper-inflation, perhaps that's the reason, speculators are pumping up the Oil
commodity now, much sooner than I would expect.

If oil rises too fast, we won't see recovery at all.. perhaps delay out even longer.
All expected recession ending at year end may disappear..
consumers may lose confidence again. sad.gif

hai... me too... i mean i can foresee Dow's fall next week, but tonight would probably affect KLCI. I hope its red. but -20 -50 is not convincing... need more cos ppl still bullish about KLCI.

Another worrying thing is I don't think we can use currents KLCI closing price as a reference. Due to the stock manipulation. So we don't actually know which way market was supposed to go.

*
Quite true, KLCI is directionless.. even though KLCI opens ahead by next week, it is always lagging, most of time go reverse direction of DJIA and other major regional markets.

Sometimes, I wonder, how come you guys so brave to play at KLSE. The water here is full of sharks, more sharks than Wall Street, small 'Ikan Bilis' don't even get the chance to become full grown yet, it already become meal for them. sad.gif

Also, most of you seems to like to feed on economic news from US and yet, many don't realise it may or may not affect the local stock market here. The economic data from US mainly useful if you play the US stock market, isn't it better if you invest directly there? nod.gif

They got both... traders usually play those penny/dollar stocks (just ask AdamG) biggrin.gif

Investors play blue chips and growth stocks... for long.
I'm sure you heard of Coke, McDonald, GE, Boeing, KFC products... hey all USA stuff..
they will continue to be here for the next generation.

US has the biggest market and one could buy those indexes fund which also tracks
other regional markets (like Asian or Latin America) without worrying about expensive front load
cost like local Unit Trusts or Mutual Funds.

They all said China is going to propel the world to recovery.. but in reality, they'll really haven't open
their market to outside world yet, difficult to stock pick any one of them except through US based companies
invested in China.

For everything? How do you find it? I'll open account on Monday. Do you have to convert your RM into the denominations of each country's currency? Also whats the commission like?
*
Omores,

Nothing wrong with opening different platforms on your computers right?
Going through a single local remisier for foreign stock execution, isn't that more expensive?

With the Internet today, the US brokerage web tools allow you the individual investor to trade easily, and low commission makes it attractive play.

What's the tax implications trading in these different countries? Do you have to pay tax on dividends and capital gains from these other countries?
*
For US, no tax for capital gain since you're foreigner but they will withhold dividends because those are taxable.
I'm not counting on dividends, I'm more into stock value capital gains. smile.gif

Aiya, I am hoping crude would pullback on Monday so that I can buy more..
I'm addicted to Oil now, damn those OPEC dudes.. drool.gif

Anyway, I think DJ will hit the wall again next week.. not sure if it can break pass 8500..
this would be the 4th time again this past 6 weeks.., it touched around 8500-ish, it pulls back afterwards.

If it can break through and perhaps go pass the 200 day MA, I think it may go higher. nod.gif

It was haywire the previous days before

Nothing affects KLCI anymore.. it is totally immune.
KLCI is like watching Curious Case of Benjamin Button.. going backwards in time.

Oh.. wait.. unless there is a nuclear attack.. yes, just maybe that will do it.

We should call Kim Jong II, persuade him to fire a couple of nukes across Japan Sea,
I think it will definite affect KLCI, perhaps to go forward in time. biggrin.gif

Would be interesting to see some figures. What I know is only from what I've seen and heard. For instance, ad agencies having freeze on any employments, factorie zones near the north very quiet three months ago...

Also employment data would not show true picture. For instance, factories making the workers 2day-4 day a month furloughs, reduced hours, and bonus cuts thus trimming worker's salary.  And people are beginning to be more budget conscious. Reducing frequency of shopping, eating outside, choose cheaper brands of shampoo, buying clothes and books on warehouse sales, going to starbucks for coffee, etc.  It's not just unemployment that could affect an economy...

That for me, is the true, axis of recession esp creating severe reduction of revenue for all manufacturing, retail, consumer sector. Even astute retailers that came up with promos will have to maintain a fine balance between lower margin and volume (ie McDonalds / Parkson).

BTW, have you guys been to carrefour lately? They are selling books at RM5 p/book and RM2 p/classic Penguin books. So nice, I bought 50 books for only RM220. Which is normal cost for 4-5 books for me... MPH and POPULAR just lost one of their most frequent customers.
*
That's true..and been my observation too. Many retailers now seem to be prepping to reduce inventory, therefore those huge sale isn't a surprise. I think more will come soon. This recession seems like it is getting worse (or merely started) and - the stimulus plan has yet to kick in, consumers spending are down. Some of my friends who are in retailing all complained sales were down 20%~40% for the past 3 months and some are very worry about their jobs. The only people who aren't afraid are the people working in the public sector.

all will run away with tails between their legs when bombing starts. biggrin.gif
Their propaganda touting how great their army and leadership are nothing but all crap!

From market perspective.. if war does break out, it will be good for commodity market.
All metals, food and the Oil price will skyrocket, here's more opportunity to profit!! thumbup.gif
