No strings attached

With BRAVIA 1080 Wireless built in, you can save even more room with the BRAVIA ZX1. Wires are hidden out of sight, thanks to our new HD wireless technology.

A separate Media Receiver, supplied with the TV set, transmits signals from your Blu-ray Disc™ player, PLAYSTATION®3 or other HD devices, from anywhere in the room to the ZX1 LCD screen.

BRAVIA 1080 Wireless, an ultra-fast wireless connection, carries the uncompressed audiovisual signal in real time, so you never miss a moment of the action.

What's your say? One more wireless technology for home entertainment. The things i worry is it's only delivers 1080i signal. And wonder whether the quality would drop during streaming process (infra red). And the price is RM20,000 for 40 inches.

Actually, if you have already an LCD or plasma, and you require a wireless streaming from a source, Belkin has this solution also. It is called the Flywire with HDMI connection up to 1080p/24.. Amazing

It is indeed an amazing device but the price is staggering too USD$1499.99. You can buy a brand new Samsung 42 inch LED TV already laugh.gif

The digital world has certainly transformed to wireless connection in near future. However, wireless has its problems too. Often signals are not strong and quality may be lost during the transmission.

the power of DLNA, actually if you got a PS3, you can streaming movies from PC directly to the PS3 and display it at the LCD TV, if your LCD TV support DLNA, you just need a media server running on your PC then you can streaming directly from it without the help of the console, but the problem with this is the technology are still not perfect, dont expect smooth streaming of 1080p on wireless network, unless you wait for the buffer, and also a PC that are capable to render 1080p is necessary.

wired still win over wireless at anytime, but the problem with wired is the messy wires flying around.

Tried playing games on a PS3 linked to this TV and it has delays. sleep.gif

Normal DVD streams fine. But not 1080i/p videos. Sigh...

Since it is 1080i supportable, maybe it only works with interlaced signal?
