a creative midfielder is all we need. seriously, all the firepower infront, nak tambah benzema -.-a..
benzema wont do good if theres no balls supplied to him and for now, i dont see it coming from any of our midfielders.

Seriously, I do think our midfielder playing pretty well.
We really need Hargreaves to stay fit so that people like Anderson/Scholes/Carrick/Fletcher can go in front more "bravely".

With Tevez gone (I do think so), a striker is coming. An affordable tall player, someone in Heskey's mould perhaps. Definitely not Manucho  whistling.gif

Playing well at times doesn't really suffice.
When you see the other 3, they have their main man to supply the balls or even score themselves. I seriously doubt Anderson would score, Carrick would(once in a blue moon), Fletcher really needs to toughen up abit. So who else can you see? It's not like the team needs a big player, the team needs someone who could really open up defences with a telling pass, arrive at the penalty box late and scoring a beautiful volley,

easily we need someone like Scholes in his prime smile.gif.

I'd be optimistic and say that Ronaldo is loving every moment of this. He loves the spotlight doesn't he? And he also isn't that stupid. IF he leaves, he leaves. But I'd think that he's on the news just because he loves it, either that or the media is cooking up some old toast.

Bloody hell. All the fookin transfer muppets have reappeared. Benzema this, Valencia that... for fecks sake. Now I know why I don't come here all that often anymore. Too many FM muppets

We have a team good enough as it is. Be content you pricks. It's of people like most on here that the likes of The Sun and all makes their money out off. You're basically being spoonfed with all the transfer stories. Bloody hell.

Going back to Roma, are you seriously content with our midfield?

Fletcher ain't gonna do it man.

I'd really like to see who is our next No.7 biggrin.gif

And abt CR, even my dad said he's like kacang lupakan kulit.

Look at Rooney, even though he did stressed that he wanted to play as a striker, he did his job, playing on the flanks.

But yeah. SAF , who's next? biggrin.gif

A goalkeeper is seriously the least we'd have to worry about. Kuszcak and Foster are up to the task, shown in a number of games this previous season.

If SAF plays a normal 4-4-2 diamond,

-------------Foster/Kuszcak

Brown------Rio-------Vidic ----- Evra
---------------------?---------------------
Nani/Park ------------------------Tosic/Ljajic
--------------------?----------------------
------------------Berbatov
--------------Rooney

That middle question mark could prove vital to us retaining the title.

Other positions are fully equipped with great talents.
We have yet to see a replacement for the great Keano.

Unfortunately we're Man Utd, a club that needs world class players. We need players that can win us games when we need it, Ronaldo, Gerrard, Lampard, Torres are players of this sort and that's why Ribery and Benzema suits the bill. Anderson, Fletcher are great but honestly they're not really up there yet. I'm talking about standards that Scholes, Keane, Becks, Giggs has set. In maybe 3 years time I'm sure they'll be up there but considering the strong threat from Liverpool and Chelsea currently, we need world class payers NOW. Ronaldo, Tevez is gone, we REALLY need 2 world class players to fill that void.

I'm all with you man.

I've been ranting all long about our midfielders. Carrick and Fletch is good, up til the Champions League semifinal. Anderson.................. I don't prefer him at all. Loving our wingers, not our CMs. Hargreaves is a good player who can fill in for DM, but he's in the nurses' office for too long.

The core of the team has been weak for about 2-3 seasons now.

We did destroy Arsenal in the semi-finals.  blink.gif

Yeah, a weakened arsenal, which I see wasn't up to the task of our team at that stage.

Even so, if you see Arsenal, they have Fabregas, and if Arsene plays his card right, he gets in a good DM and a well experienced last man, don't be surprised to see them beating Chelsea and Liverpool next season.

I don't mind SAF bringing a no namer, as long as he knows hows to distribute the ball, being a really good playmaker.

Seriously, tell me if you see Fletch/Carrick giving the telling pass and sees Ronaldo/Rooney/Berba/Tevez finishing it off last season?

There were a few, but those weren't the important matches. And track back to 5-3 to Spurs. The four played within themselves, mostly.

If there's no link from defense to the midfielders and midfielders to the strikers, don't count on long balls. None was potent enough since Beckham.

Oh guys do keep in mind that Rooney is a striker smile.gif.

I didn't say anything about Fletcher being good against Arsenal. I said that Arsenal were a weakened side, we took advantage.

The thing is, I'm fine with raising with the youth, but when it comes to the big teams, the youth won't be up there with the play itself, and I don't see Fletcher nor Carrick nor Anderson grabbing a hold of the game by its neck.

Our strikers are good, but the team needs someone to feed them.

Okay, put it in your words then.

What is your solution for our 30goals per season scoring machine?

I'd say combine Rooney and Berba up front, have them share the load, and a playmaker(a really good one) that could get at least 15 goals per season.

It's hard to replace Ronaldo. So why not disperse it all instead of having it all on one player? Yeah the youths may get in 10 games or so, but SAF, please do get someone who will command the midfield.

^ Knowing that we have 80 mil in our pockets, every club wanna squeeze every single quid from us?

I can't imagine how much Lyon wants if they actually decided to let go Benzema. 55 mil?? @_@

With the teams, the other big four, or probably five next season growing ever stronger, it's not a surprise that we have to buck up our midfield. The youngsters aren't gonna cut it. I know you can give them a chance, but when it comes to the later stages of the league, the mental fatigue will takes its toll,

And this is where experienced players do their dirty jobs. I wish Hargreaves would stay off the nurses' office and more on the pitch, because with him, I feel that the back line is even more secure.

Carrick and Fletcher does well covering our back four, but not well enough. They would be muscled out against huge strikers and also midfielders.

^ Oh no not Mexes . We raped him in and out , remember.

We have enough backup for Ferdinand , it being in the form of Evans and also De Laet. They are good players, and you can see , particularly Evans doing well. He just needs to compose himself more .

Having too many off days isn't good at all. He's no good for the team.
