Boohooo!

I wonder how people can criticize Berba when I thought we were playing much better after he is being subbed in. And Scholes.

Lets sell Berba back to Spurs. Lets buy Benzema and sign Tevez. Maybe we should sack Fergie and sign Pep. Then we can have treble every year. whistling.gif

Why dont we sell everyone? Better wei. Then buy half of half from Chelsea, half from Liverpool and half from Barca - better rite?!

Classic! rclxms.gif

I think we must buy Kaka, Ribery and Benzema. Sell Ronaldo and Berba. We should be champions forever. Maybe can

get Messi too. Oh yeah, Buffon coz VDS can't even save the 1st goal last night. Sell Ferdinand and buy Terry. Buy Puyol

for right back. Midfield we can get Iniesta and Xavi. Sell Carrick. Sell Anderson. Retire Giggs and Scholes. Oh yeah, sell

Park to a midtable club like Everton. Retire Neville as well. Evra maybe we can keep for backup for Dani Alves. Might as

well throw our money to Phillip Lahm too. Then we take Pep to Old Trafford. Retire SAF and let him be ambassador of the

club la. He is old ady, nyanyuk wei.

Yes, Ronaldo is going. Even as we speak, Sir Alex is giving him a nice kick in the behind.

Bloody hell, a lot of people on this thread would make good tabloid writers. They certainly read a lot of it to qualify, or at least read a lot into those crap. No wonder shite like The Sun, tribalfootball and goal.com are still successfully operating.

Sometimes, I do feel that our NEW comrades are too spoiled with winnings. Heck, I wonder what would have happened if we were under barren runs again?

Anything that ticks Pool off is fine by me. Either team should be fine. Much better if the blue merseysiders win..

Oh ya .. if Everton does win it tonight, there's a new superstition ..

The team that beats the league champs will win the FA Cup. Haha LOL.

Thanks for your services Ronaldo. 80M pounds. I just hope you will do well in Bernabeu(do I get the spelling right?) I can't really wait for replacements or arrivals in Old Trafford.

Rooney to step up. Berbatov to step up. Yahoo, finally, Ronaldo's saga is almost over.

without him we probably wouldn't have won so much in the past 3 years.
in many games he has won the game for us, when the team is not playing well. he will be missed for sure.
i know i won't please alot of fans here but i feel we will struggle without him nx season.
im not really a big fan of him because obviously his heart is not in united, but facts are facts.
having said that, im excited to see if we will sign any big superstar:)

Must be a reason why we spend on Nani. This will be his season like C Ron first season when he replace Becks.

Currently we have,
Nani,
Park,
Giggs (old),
Rooney (If we get Benz maybe he will spend on the wings more to accomodate Berba and Benz)
& Tosic (Need to bulk up).

So my suggestion, use that 80 mill to pay the debt and just use our initial budget + Cambell money to buy Benz.
*
Seconded this. But it is quite worrying if our wingers are down to injury. Probably, Benz and Valencia. Should be enough. Tosic and Nani will get their regular starting places next season..

yes that is his childhood dream club
but SAF spend 3 season time to nurture him into a world class player, which he performing in season 06/07, and don't forget how SAF advise him to stay despite the clash with Rooney in World Cup 2006
*
True. Despite of huge talent that he possesses, I don't think he'll be as successful as he is now with any other club. Well, maybe under Wenger or Barca Academy.

QUOTE(Hevrn @ Jun 12 2009, 01:28 PM)
You only truly notice his value when he's not playing. Selfless player, different from when he first came (though I'd like it if he went back to his selfish streak, scored some amazing goals then). Unlike Ronaldo, this is a player I feel would be our long term asset. Time and time again, hes sacrificed himself playing out of position for the badge. Yes he has some temper issues, but since Colleen's gotten pregnant his rage seems to have mellowed. His Shrek side. Hope he plays in the hole again a la what he does with  England. From what I see of his international games, he's been phenomenal there. I reckon if he stays fit and keeps that as his own here with United, he'll be a 30 goal a season player no problem. I wouldn't mind getting Heskey just to accomodate him haha. If only he'd take the no. 7 jersey.  sad.gif
*
Rooney FTW. This issue has been discussed from time to time. I am one of those whom actually agreed to this. But, Rooney should keep the No.10 role. That number is quite legend also.

QUOTE(nizamhameed @ Jun 12 2009, 02:13 PM)
is there any posibilities that he wont wear Rm jersey?

if i am not mistaken, he is still under discussion over his term. let say if they couldnt agree, what will happen?

and i wonder what will be fan reaction when he play again with united?

one thing for sure, he is not goin to make it to 1st eleven, we know what SAF can do....
*
The deal is almost done and dusted. No hell way both parties are going to say no.

QUOTE(sunnyK @ Jun 12 2009, 09:45 PM)
everyone keep on saying after cantona, beckham, rvn, keano leave us and we still manage to rebound and regain back the BPL and even now as ronaldo is almost sure to leave , we still assume we could do the same as before

wake up guys ,i say this era is different as before we have arsenal only to contend with and now ,liverpool is on our tale and infact looks stronger than us provided rafa could maintain his last season squad.since the era of cantona up to when keano retire , chelsea have emerge as a superpower to challenge us on all front and dont write off arsenal yet for next season and beyond.

remember how strong liverpool finish off the season and i bet if only there are a few more matches , they may even pip us to the league title.

the UCL final with barca expose all our weakness espeacially in  midfield where we are completely overrun and overturn . even at the 2008 UCL with chelsea , we are outmuscled . last season i dare say we are save by CR7

ronaldo eventhough not at his very best remain our main goal getter last season and score several crucial goals to get us to where we are and many here continue to bash and some even slaughter him.

go check yourself about your own loyalty before questioning his. CR7 dont belong to nobody and manchester united certainly dont own him and he doesn't have to stay all his life at UTD if he chose not to.

let me remind you guys that in the history of players at manchester united , ronaldo bring the most profit to the club at 67.5 MBP and this record may need another century to break , besides contributing immensely to 3 consecutive BPL , 1 UCL title and 1 runner-up plus all other minor trophies that all you guys only knew too well. he brought glory to man utd as the only player to have won the fifa player of the year 2008.

how dare you guys bash him and yet claim you understand football and the business related to it. go fantasize yourself as a loyal supporter of manchester united.
*
My goodness, since when you've been supporting United? Since post-Ronaldo era? No one said he is not an explosive player that has done so much for us. No one said he belongs to United. Fans are dissapointed when he himself declared that he will stay with us just before the Barca match.

After UCL final, only God knows? Yes, we have always known his desire to play for Madrid. It is no secret. But bear in mind, United is not about Ronaldo. Mind to tell me where did you get your source on that £67.5M? I thought Beckham was our best shirt selling player. Not to mention, Beckham is more of looks than Ronaldo ever is.

He has contributed. No doubt, he has. But you have to count in the services of other players. And most importantly on how SAF turned and nurtured him from nobody to somebody. We will face some difficulties next season, no doubt. Which in my opinion, good. We can weed out those glory hunters.

I believe in SAF. He will do something about it. After all, he was the one who brought lots of titles to United. As many fans/supporters would have said, it is going to be even difficult when old man calls his day.

QUOTE(Reon @ Jun 13 2009, 04:09 AM)
Well said, can't agree more on the inflated price tag. It's ridiculous to think that you have to combine both Figo and Zidane to get one Ronaldo in terms of transfer fee. And do bear in mind, we are in the financial crisis period (or are they?). Well for sure I have no problem that United sell as much as they can with Ronaldo tongue.gif, but come'on, £65m for Ribery and £85m for Benzema!!?? doh.gif

People can probably build another football team with that amount of money.  shakehead.gif
*
Actually we can buy those either midtable clubs or lower. But I would adhere to air_mood's suggestion earlier, invest the money so that we can gain profit and buy Liverpool. Send them to division two. Now's that a plan. laugh.gif

QUOTE(schmeichel7 @ Jun 13 2009, 06:59 AM)

he did perform quite well though...

quite shock wit his inconsistent at man utd
hopefully he will perform excellent next season
*
He will step up. Maybe not as good as Ronaldo but I know he will deliver. He lack chances and didn't really step up when given the chance. Ignore those trolls about us being bitter/sour when undeniably our BEST player requested for a transfer to his dream club. We all knew that.

At least we are not the same set of fans whom burnt Stevie-Me-G jerseys when the cnut almost signed for Chelsea. Between the two, I just see that Stevie-Me-G being more of a mercenary than Ronaldo does.

QUOTE(vandetta @ Jun 13 2009, 05:56 PM)
Is this so called Valencia boy really an explosive winger?
*
Talented, yes. Finishing, not so good. But whom are to judge? Under managers like SAF and Wenger, unpolished gems could be extraordinaire diamonds. Just take a good look at our youth policy. Ronaldo? Class of 92?

Villa now? Seriously? Shit, we are going to have one really crazy summer I guess. Like we had with Berba last season?

Fletcher isn't a direct replacement to Scholes. No one is actually. Although, Carrick + Anderson might be the direct replacement for Scholes (without the tackling part). Like Wan have mentioned, Carrick + Anderson + Fletcher or Carrick + Anderson + Hargreaves could do us wonders.

Carrick will normally take his time to spread his play unlike Scholes and Anderson. Between Anderson and Carrick, good passes are always made by the latter than the former but fast decision making is always taken by the former than the latter. Which is why Fletcher or Hargreaves is important; to win the ball for the both of them. And to cover the back alongside these two without comprising himself with cards ( Scholesy's bad tackles anyone?).

I just love how Scholesy plays. People would always predict that he will get carded and they are normally right. Funny. But you gotta love the guy, hollywood passes? No problem. Open plays? No problem. I wonder how did that someone stewpid in Post Season's thread saying that Scholesy is over-rated. If he does, what makes of Gerrard and Lampard? Or maybe Barry?
