u can change surround rear altec pc speaker cable?

my model is altec ada885....

below is the image how the cable looks like

if u see the "speaker input" image, the "square" input is the surround input channel.....usually the jack body is rounded, but this jack is square body like the "speaker cable" image.

i want the speaker cable to change to better ones....need to open the surround speaker inorder to remove the cable....i think it is soldered...

how about my case? can do ar?
