I think hughes will be the first manager to be sacked off next season... He focus too much on player bargains, but not team construction.

He has mentioned since his days in Atletico that Real Madrid is one club that doesn't appeal to him. I guess that's a good sign that he's no cashley cole. Trust me, if his love for liverpool isn't as true as he says it is, he would've been looooooooooooooong gone.

The best evidence is tattooed on him. He's the hero at Anfield, why bother to become a normal peon at other big clubs?

question : in which world did Glen Johnson worth 18.5 million pound?

answer : this world
crazy la i tell u, Liverpool pulak tu yang bid. and here i thought Liverpool doesn't really have the money

It's helpless for liverpool... they have only 2 english starters currently, if they do not start to pool for english talents now, they will have a hard time when the 6+5 rule begins. so you can c the desperation for it...

With rumours going around, it's quite disappointing that there's no big move after the 80 mil record breaker...

their problem is the manager..

Nope, their problem is actually the player's egoism and individualism due to the price and wage inflation that citeh provides... they looked like 11 players that play only for himself alone.

If arsenal really join the race and make the bid, Im positive that benzema will end up at arsenal...
adoi~~ MU will miss another signing...

If of three of them offer the same price, Real and Arsenal will have equal likely chance of getting them. Real offers high salary and great teammates, arsenal has good french environment for Benzema.

Man Utd? Unless SAF is willing to outbid them by quite a big amount, if not i highly doubt they can get him. And i highly doubt SAF will do so.

Valencia will compete with Park for a place... a positive thing for Man Utd.

But i think that he won't be an irreplacable player in Man Utd like Rooney or Vidic.

INTER PRICED OUT OF CHELSEA DEAL
Inter Milan have given up on signing Chelsea duo Ricardo Carvalho and Deco for the time being.

The duo had been linked with a move to the San Siro where they would link up with former Porto coach Jose Mourinho.

Reports had suggested Inter sent a representative to London to talk with Chelsea about a possible deal for the two Portuguese players, but the Italians' transfer consultant Lele Oriali insisted that was untrue.

He told Sky Italia: "Inter don't need emissaries, the president didn't send anyone and neither did I.

"Having had the fortune of being able to speak directly with Chelsea, we know that they are ready to negotiate over these two players, but the asking price is too high.

"The deal is not as simple as it might seem. It's unrealistic for us in the current conditions. At the moment the deal is closed, and we don't know if it will open up again later on."

Bad move by Carlo. I'm sure that the Portuguese duo wanted to get united with their countryman.

Manchester United To Offer €20m Plus Dimitar Berbatov For Aguero - Spanish Press

The Red Devils have reportedly come up with a few interesting proposals to Atletico for ‘El Kun’…

Manchester United have continued their relentless assault to lure Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid as they look to remould their attacking arsenal.
Following rumours of a failed €46 million bid last week, the Premier League champions are now ready to take a different approach to whet Atleti’s appetite.

According to AS, the Red Devils are now considering including player exchanges to sweeten the deal, and their preferred option is believed to be a payment of €40 million plus Portuguese winger Nani. But Los Colchoneros have no interest in signing a wide player as they already have that department well covered.

The second option is said to be a fee of €20m plus striker Dimitar Berbatov, who supposedly fancies a move to the Vicente Calderon. This would bring the total transfer figure to roughly €56 million, based on the Bulgarian’s €36m move to Old Trafford just last summer.

However, that is still unlikely to convince the Atletico directors, who have repeatedly insisted that only an offer that matches Aguero’s buy-out clause of €60 million will be enough to kick-off negotiations.

Even if a transfer is accepted, AS speculates that United could face another obstacle as they will have to meet the Argentine hot-shot’s sky high wage demands, believed to be around €12.5m-per-year.

CITY IN TALKS TO SIGN ADEBAYOR
Manchester City have entered talks to sign Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, according to Sky Sports News.

The station claims talks were opened at the weekend and have continued. Exact details remain sketchy but negotiations are said to be at a 'significant level'.

Adebayor's future at Arsenal has been in doubt for some months but a move to Manchester City would still be something of a surprise given they signed Roque Santa Cruz three weeks ago and are expected to announce the purchase of Carlos Tevez during the next 48 hours.
