The deal has already been agreed. Just abit of a hiccup with the agents' commission that should be ironed out within the week. And also Berlusconi wants to delay the announcement till the European elections are over as it might hurt his political standing.

and your source are? i thought galliani and kaka publicly said that he's staying. and mostly the transfer talk are coming from the spanish media, which is obviously on real madrid's side.

If my sources were AS or Marca I wouldn't even have bothered to post. Cadena Ser have reported the deal is done and they are very reliable. Galliani was already confirmed to be in Madrid (you can even check AC Milan's official website) even though the excuse is that he's there to congratulate Perez on his appointment as president. Italian media have also reported it with Berlusconi even saying: "The Spaniards have offered a lot, it is difficult to resist". Kaka's father has come out and said we have tabled an offer but there isn't an agreement yet but that's because he's still haggling for a higher commission.

I don't have to convince anyone. Just take it however you want to.

he still left a year contract with Villa, 18mil sound too much for a player under 1 year contract

Blues set to seal deal for Zhirkov

Chelsea are set to finalise the capture of CSKA Moscow's Yuri Zhirkov for £18.6million, with the Russian poised to sign a four-year deal.

user posted image

The Blues are known to have been long-term admirers of the 25-year-old, who can play anywhere down the left side.

One of Zhirkov's representatives is quoted in his homeland as stating that the CKSA Moscow man has already put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal.

It is believed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich personally brokered the deal with CSKA owner, and close friend, Evgeny Giner.

Chelsea's interim boss Guus Hiddink, who is leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer, has fully backed the move, as he knows all about the player from his role as Russian coach.

Hiddink feels Zhirkov is a huge talent, saying: "I know that Yuri is not just a nice person but one of the best attacking left sided players in the world."

CSKA always knew that Chelsea, who say it is currently paper talk, wanted Zhirkov and coach Zico admitted he would fit in well at Stamford Bridge.

"I will not stand in the way of this transfer," said Zico earlier this month.

"A player of Zhirkov's quality could very well play in the English Premier League.

"I see him as a player in the London club's starting XI."

It is thought Barry will be paid £80,000-a-week at City.

Kaka is on the headline again, to Real Madrid this time.

I don't think it's 80k. smile.gif

QUOTE
Manchester City began a summer of unprecedented transfer spending with the £12million capture of Gareth Barry from Aston Villa - and are increasingly confident of signing Carlos Tevez.

City moved quickly to take Barry, 28, to Eastlands on a staggering basic salary of around £130,000 a week after first making contact on Monday night and the England midfielder had a medical in London on Tuesday after agreeing a five-year contract.

I`m wondering why Barry actually choose to play with City that have no EURO match next season..he can just stay with Villa for Europa League (UEFA Cup) or just wait for Liverpool to make an offer.. that will be an automatic spot for him in the Champions League..

But after looking at how much he earn sweat.gif Maybe thats why..
