hi guys, my iphone 2g is having a serious prob evytime when i fully charged it, the iphone can oni last for 2hrs even i nvr use it n it's in standby mode, it is more worse if i used it 2 run app, mayb can last oni less than an hr? i try 2 sent it 2 my uncle's fren 2 check out wat is the prob. he said tat my iphone motherboard spoiled? izit true? any1 can help?

i changed a battery b4, the guy gave me a new battery which i don think it is original 1. but after changed, the prob stil thr i would like 2 change a original battery but i afraid tat it cant solve the issue, cos my uncle's fren mentioned tat it was motherboard prob which i dunno whether it is true or not. any suggestion guys??

If standby only last 2 hrs n new battery is in, then you have a bad case of bad com port.

com port? Issit the iPhone's USB port? A faulty usb port that prevents the iPhone to be charge in a normal current flow?

i think what crxr meant is the communication board ie. short form commboard.

if you guys might not know, the three main components of your phone is the commboard which controls the baseband, while the logicboard controls the functions and GUI of the phone, and lastly the battery.
