Hmm, the Samsung monitor looks like it may be easier to incorporate into some kind of case/monitor mod, since it has clean lines without a more complex stand like the Mimo monitor (which looks like its better suited for stand-alone applications like direct placement on the desk).

Personally, I'm interested in potential wireless applications (something like having a monitor mounted on a wall or something, getting its feed whether DVI, VGA or USB wirelessly from a PC located elsewhere).

This thing is cool. I can show my download or hardware monitor status (Asus Probe II) with this monitor.

i apologize if i pop your bubbles, xD

but for my, this thing is kinda overprice, if it compare with samsung U70. there's a huge price gap between both of this.

but still the adjustable stand for mimo monitors are good. but not enough to convince me to spend extra for just a good adjustable stand.

looks like i have to wait for samsung u70 to get to malaysia.

wow, what the maximum resolution and refresh rate that this monitor can support via usb2, even resolution of 640x480 with 60hz needs 442Mbits/s, touch screen somemore shocking.gif

maybe needs some driver or application to compress the digital signal between computer and monitor sweat.gif

Well, maybe for normal use, its pricey. But if we plan to built car pc, or monitoring system for download rig, this gadget is awesome. it runs on usb alone, so there is no messy wire. Plus, it has a touch screen capability also.
Have a very low power consumption because it runs on USB. The picture is very clear too. but it have limitation because it use the displaylink chipset which could not process heavy graphic such as gaming.
Normal user who only use the monitor for watching movie and doing some works on ms office will find that the gadget is great for them.

Although the product is cool, but Mimo only provide outdated driver.
For best result, just download latest the display and touchscreen driver from the link below:

Display driver:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php

TouchScreen Driver:
http://touch-base.com/downloads/e2i/setup.exe

The more detailed support on this monitor also can be found at :
http://www.touch-base.com/documentation/mimotouchdevice.htm

Well, just keep this in mind, the smaller the things get, the more expensive they become tongue.gif

yes ..and u can use it as HTPC remote control too. put this at ur sofa, then u can change/control ur pc without need a keyboard and mouse. u also can set this monitor to run in "mirror" , "Main Monitor", "Extend from Main monitor" and more option. plus , who want to build their own carpc , they can use this monitor because it is easy to manage only 1 usb cable than liliiput (that use 2 cable, VGA and also USB).
