If u go on low season, on walking street, there's a The Box on walking street & Gecko Lipe (opposite) at sub RM100/night.
High season, the rate is 40-60% higher & fluctuate.

not bad at all..in fact good time to go - low rates, less ppl
just less shop open

even if it rains, only for a while - not whole day, not everyday

koh lipe is a small island, not a town on mainland like krabi where u can expect many shops and night markets..

there'll be places to eat and buy stuff but dont expect too much
anyway its not a shopping place..

Koh Lipe, is an island that not so commercialize (according my last trip December 2012)

- Food is sightly expensive other island.
- Not so happening place like Phuket/ Krabi
- Good place just to relax...

I love their Diving site...

Can't wait for my trip next month... smile.gif

Hi littleprawn,

Thanks so much for your prompt reply. btw, may i know how much is the rate for this driver? is the rate only for a limited time of a day e.g. the rate is only for 7am-5pm, if more than that, there will be extra charges?

Thank you.

About to go to koh lipe in CNY but bit concern of my father, he has leg pain/disc (walk for 20m then stop, 20m again) and not advisable to jump, run etc.

My concern is that I saw people sayin about u need to jump off the boat when arriving because no jetty at ko lipe beach ?

Or any related concerns you guys might think of ?

Total for transportation, how much did it cost(per person) - from your flight to Langkawi to the boat ride to Koh Lipe and return trip? smile.gif

the flight from KL to Langkawi was cheap.. but the speedboat to Lipe is quite steep.
I paid around RM500 for 2person return boat-trip langkawi-lipe-langkawi.

means per person one-way RM125..i was thinking around Rm50/pax :blush:other than speedboat, got ferry or other water-transport that ferries passengers from Langkawi to Lipe? If only have speedboat, then no choice sad.gif
