brand and marketing cost do add up..
I like the lens, prescription is worth every penny I paid for.
I used to know someone working in Oakley USA, stuff discount on frame are Steep!

Anyone got other Oakley products besides glasses/shades?
I would imagine Oakley-freak would have their clothes, backpack, watches etc!

its been awhile since I walk in oakley to get new glasses.
just noticed many of the frames today are make in china.

I still love the lens, prescriptions are just too expensive.

with strict qc yes.. without... u find many cheap oakley alibaba or on some street.
for the same amount u paying wouldn't u prefer usa made vs china made?

Maybe one need to pay middleman fees and shipping to send glasses to USA to get original Oakley prescription lens for shades as I paid ~usd$200 5 yrs ago

Well wearing it outside under sun temp is lower than temp in the car under hot sun. In car temp can climb to reach 140f or 60C in worst case.

You can argue over time it heat up the glasses under sun or in car. But is the temp same? Power of the sun does it mean it can tolerate extreme temp?

I agree Oakley quality dropped, many ppl leave their glasses in car. They should test like many car manufacturer in areas like Arizona under hot summer days. Their testing is lacking
