Anyone purchase Oakley Crosslink? any comments?

Beware of fake crosslinks or any Oakley glasses.
Do a scratch test on the inner arm SKU. If it comes off = fake

been using one for over 2 months
very sturdy very comfortable
been using it for sports either and so far its serving its purpose well
the nose piece doesnt slide down when u sweat hence the spec sits very well

That is not true.
Not all Oakleys are made in US. Over these few recent years; especially metal made type frames are now made in china, which are all authentic Oakley.
They have pushed much production to China.

You will see CHiNA stamped in most Plaintiff, frogskin LX too!
And most recents 2013 release they dont even stamp "Made in USA" anymore. Just "USA"

The very simple #1 rule to find out if yr Oakley sunglass/spec is Original & NOT fake is to:-

1. Scratch the SKU/white lettering on the inner stem.
- if lettering comes off = 100% fake oakley.
2. All ori oakley comes with microBAG with a drawstring, not just a black piece of cloth

so i recently purchased a Plaintiff Squared.lead w blk iridium lens to be exact.what worries me is that it feels like plastic.it supposed to be a c5 alloy right?of course it's lightweight but it is just have that plastic-ish feeling, not like the plaintiff chrome(is it because of the chrome?).dunno if it just my hands lol.no country stamp.i dont think plaintiff squared has that, not sure.

for comparison purpose,i just bought a knock off plaintiff squared, but this one is polarized(or claim to be) tongue.gif like vansen said, sku on the fake came off after scratch.on the ori, not. no country stamp on both models.craftmanship on the fake, the stem measurement looks a bit off(plaintiff squared stem is two metal inserted to one another, isnt it?).fake one comes with cleaning cloth, ori does not.bag: ori, black bag with label at bottom side.fake has the brown bag with the label on th upper side.O on the fake bag look square-ish,the ori is like a disc, like the logo on box.

can someone clarify this? sad.gif

here are the pics of the plaintiff squared (authentic)-bought from minioptics
