If he's been taking it for the first 3 days, I think he's still in the loading phase. Perhaps that's why. I have however, read some studies that say there isn't a need to load on creatine. I'm unsure myself, but I don't load. My theory's when I drop to 5GMS, during the maintenance phase, then what happened to the first 7 days at 20GMS? Clearly our bodies do not produce much creatine on it's own, so that initial load, just drops right back to 5GMS.
