try switching your lipbalm. Some lipbalms end up doing the opposite effect on me too.
Also, if you seem to be having a bad case of chapped lips (maybe due to hormonal imbalance, environment, new job, the current abnormally hot weather) You can purchase an inexpensive natural facial sponge from Guardians. Those with the holes. I use this to gently exfoliate my face and lips when I shower every evening. I find the sponge to be gentler than the toothbrush method(scrubbing your lips with an old toothbrush to remove dead and dry skin) because the toothbrush bristles tend to poke at the lines on my lips, making them quite sensitive after that. |

dear, try the Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. Apply it every nights before zzz.
If you have better budget, would suggest you to buy the Dior Lip Maximiser - rm88. Am using that. Love that. It reduces the lines on my lip and the color getting pinkish. Worth it!! |

petroleum jelly is basically the leftover stuff when they are drilling for oil.
it's very safe and really it works the best. crack heels, dry skin or whatever, slapped some vaseline on it and it will solve all your problem. if you watch sex and the city, remember miranda in one episode slather her hands with vaseline and covered it with gloves. next morning, your hand will be super soft. anyway, as you can probably gather now I am loyal to vaseline |

Hi there!
I have the same problem as yours. But then I came across Tyra Banks's makeup artist's video on youtube about chapped lips. He said u can apply a lil bit of extra virgin olive oil on ur lips before going to bed. The oil can also be used to remove eye makeup. I've done those and the results are awesome. My lips feels smoother and my eye makeup can easily be removed. (I have entries about olive oil in my blog if u wish to know more. |

Can try applying petroleum jelly, Vitamin E oil (just open up a Vitamin E capsule to get it), Prime Rose oil or even coconut oil (if you dare), works for my lips.

Himalaya's lip balm!
Or maybe you can go for Kiehl's if you do not have budget. XD My whole family uses Himalaya's lip balm and it's very good. It moisturizes lips and looks glossy too. ^^ It retails very cheap in India compared to here lol. So we usually buy from India in bulk. |

QUOTE(star*bug @ May 25 2009, 12:54 AM) hi babes, i always having chapped lips problem despite using of lipbalm, I have experienced the same problem last time, but now totally recover!! I have try many brands include Nivea, Lip Ice, Vaseline, Averine, Palmer, Avene, etc...can't remember, but i found Biotherm lip balm (AQUASOURCE LEVRES) is the most effective and I am continue using it till now!currently trying out lip mask but seemed need to use it everyday in order for it to work, just wondering if u girls have any other solution for my problem? thanks in advance ya Even the cost is higher than the other brands sale in Guardian, but it's worth and can use quite a long time... If the problem still continue even you have try many brands, then you should consult a doctor, they will give you some oilment to treat your lips, after recover then maintaining to use Lip Balm everyday. Besides, I found Vaseline also quite good... Some people are sensitive to toothpaste which makes the lip chapped. So if problems continue, maybe you can change the brand of your toothpaste. Hope you get well and have juicy lips everyday! |
