Hello, I'm an 18-year-old uni student interested in taking violin lessons XD Thing is, I'm going to need an electric one since I don't want to be murdered by my housemates/family when practising .__. (I do not want to settle for a muffler... LOL) Also, it's going to be self-learn, which I hope won't be too hard (only musical background is piano Grade 5) Can anyone suggest any violin models that will be suitable? If you can state the price/where to buy, it'd be MOST HELPFUL. I live in Ipoh though, so it'd be hard getting a good selection TT__TT;;

Sorry for the extremely stupid question.. You DO need an amp for an electric violin right?? I'm getting all flustered and confused while searching around the internet... Can anyone recommend basic equipment needed for an electric violin?
