This is because the developer haven't fully know how to utilise the PS3 power due to the complex of CPU.

Your only choice is
1. Try take it to a reliable shop ( Bernard, tech two, etc. You can find reputable shop in this forum. ) and ask them to check out or clean the lens for you. This should be cheaper.

2. Worst come to worst is the lens died. You have no choice but to get a new dvd rom.

3. You can forget about it and sell it of whatever you remain and get a new 1 or get a new conosle or whatever you can do with the money.
