Torrents for the past 3-4 months has been running well over 150KB/s. I guess they did some things right recently

Any idea if the 5GB fair usage thing applies to 4MB customers? Or perhaps there's a bigger cap for 4MB users? I've been downloading around 20+ GB of movies on torrent for the past 1 month but the speed is still the same as normal.

Does BitComet comes with a throttling bypass mode? It seems unaffected by it compared to ARES.

QUOTE(shenshenshen @ Jul 5 2009, 10:20 PM) hi 4mbps streamyx package user here. my speed currently is 3.5mbps oni. need to complain. btw i have a question to ask. i am sharing my line with another 6 fellas in my house. if everybody downloads and surf the net at the same time. the thing will show network timeout at the web explorer. my question is , how to fix this network timeout problem? and whenever this thing appear , i have to restart the modem router. Streamyx only guarantees optimum bandwidth speed of minimum 70% of the subscribed speed. 3.5mbps is 87.5% of 4mbps. Consider yourself lucky. |
