I did not talk to them nor negotiate with them. They will just turn the tables against you.
REMEMBER: DO NOT NEGOTIATE. BE FIRM. BE RESOURCEFUL. U are ASKING for what you should be getting as u paid for it. If you have to call/receive the call, ask them to spell their name and department out, and note it down.
I emailed them, email is better, it serves as a "black and white" copy of your complaint. Remember to note down who contacted you and from what department, what day and time.
1st i complained to TM using email, i showed them
many links to blogs and to this forum about their slowdown. They replied, gave me their usual excuse as usual, peak time traffic, international provided problem, best effort policy, other users torrent-ing, websites having DDOS attacks, heavy firewalls.
I told them, u mean to say all of a sudden since March all the websites are have DDOS until now? Since March suddenly the whole of TM's network started torrents? Since March all the websites turned on firewalls? Are you qualified to work in TM? Even a normal rakyat like me knows that those are excuses you would say if u work in a kampung.
ETC ETC, all those nonsense, that happened over 4 emails if i have not mistaken , when they try to blame you,

it is THEM. NOT US. EDIT: I was fighting for all streamyx users, telling them that all users are like that. Until they told me that every complaint has to be on a user to user, account to account basis, despite that i showed them it was nationwide, they were very firm that that is has to be on a user to user basis and i have to cooperate to get it solved. This is where things get serious:
Then TM asked me to download pingplotter and ping several websites and get back to them with the results. I got back to then, the results were full of packet loss. As usual they said the results were normal and they cant do much.
During/after that time, i sent an Email to MCMC which was
very very detailed, it includes with all the steps i've done, all my dealings with TM, who had instructed me to do it (Name and Department and Date) and all my previous emails and attachments i sent to them were saved into a Microsoft Word document and attached in the email to MCMC, that includes the attachments unreasonable ping and speedtest results. I also
included links to this forum and many other blogs to show MCMC its a nationwide CRISISAs i sent that mail to MCMC, i also
CC it to the email of all of TM's departments that i know. REMEMBER THAT EMAIL TO MCMC MUST BE VERY VERY STRONG AND PUTS THEM ( TM ) CLEARLY IN THE WRONG.
I waited a day but there was no reply. (Normally they take 2-3days) SO i decided to forward the email to MCMC to PMO, Datuk Rais Yatim and many other ministers and again CC it to all TM departments. A few days later i received call from technical dept that they will be getting a solution to the problem and a few days after that, they called me asking me to restart my connection. As they assigned me the "premium ip of 218.11"
EDIT: Tech. Dept also said they will be monitoring the connection on their side and put measures to prevent it from happening again.
When i first get that IP it was not fast at all, it was the same, but it slowly improves over 2 days and on the 3rd day its full speed ahead. I came to forum and check, 4MB users were complaining that 218.111 is slow, but MINE WAS FULL SPEED. I used visual route and pingplotter to monitor my routes, the route used on the 1st day and route on the 3rd day is way different (less hop, less latency). This just proves that they can control your IP and ROUTING on a USER-USER basis. Remember to screenshot all your traces, speedtest etc etc so that u can use it as prove when the time comes.
The thing is, u must show TM that you will not give up...Put everyone's name and department in TM that has dealt with you in the email to MCMC, PMO and the Ministers and CC to TM. This will scare all those in TM because if those Government officials were to talk to TM, they will look for those stated in your Email, and they will get in trouble. So they will definitely pressure themselves to fix you problem, otherwise they will deal with a much bigger problem.
Have to be smart lah,

P.S : Remember that TM can control you account and phone lines etc etc. If u want to follow what i did, u must know that TM is not trustworthy and might screw up your line/account further. If u deal/have important dealings with your customers through streamyx e-mail, they can give problems to you with your account etc etc. If they are capable of doing this (slow connection to all users and not admitting), they certainly have the capabilities to go further. I am not responsible for your loses if they decide to play it rough with you. I was ready to go to court with TM that is why i was willing to go through that.
