Recently bought the Xbrand 1&2 earphone/earbuds in garage sale(music and audio), I gotta tell that these 2 earphones are the best earphones I've heard so far, design of the earphones are not so eye-candy tho. The earphone are as good as Yuin PK2 I gotta say with only half of its price

are you using 8gb touch? or previous gen touch? if yes, they do not come with built in mic. only 3rd gen 32gb and 64gb got mic

Yup, I'm using 2nd gen touch. All I have is a pair of normal Apple earphones...

you need to use a earphone with mic or bluetooth headset to use the mic function then

Go take a look at nearby Apple retailer shops, they should hv it, price should b around RM100+ - tho.
