Anw i notice b4 it start molting it will violently shake its metasoma left and right while searching for a ideal vertical place to molt, interesting...

you should document all your findings either here or ur blog...

wow. ur scor is molting. i hope to see mine molt too.
but i don't see any signs yet on the three of them. Gristle is very old already and i don't think he will molt anymore.

just gave him a bath and a good brushing to keep him clean. he was playing with mud in the old enclosure and he looks really dirty.

he didn't like the bath thou. pinch me really hard.

well if u provide ur scorp with large enough water bowl they will eventually dip themselves in and take their own bath... and if u really check on ur scorp regularly, u will notice that they groom themselves. its fun to look at but will last few mins...

i cannot see them. my own mistake. make such a nice hide for them. they just spend the whole day inside and only come out when i'm asleep.

need to setup a critter cam.

now where is that webcam?

i really like the plants in the enclosure. they provide quite a lot of humidity.

yo rideon, just got back from lepak.

Ur scorpion is doing fine.

Right now I'm trying the dry arse method to ur scorps.

I'm letting it bone dry without any substrates and will spray once a day.

Then in the night continue a half an hour termination program.

Hope it get well soon.

But so far the progress I can safely say that I have remove 50% of the mites, and most of the 50% already drown while I still scrape the leftovers.

Lets just pray it get well soon.

how common are mites a problem to scorpions?

this subjects keeps creeping up a few times already.

Unlike tarantulas, adult scorpion dun molt
Anw it sounds like ur stressing ur scorp bathing it

Common if u have wild caught specimen, else u wont have it
Me myself have no experience on mites tat stick on my scorp...
But i do found similiar mites bt they are on the substrate instead

How long since your male's last moult?

ryo, Gristle is always pinching me. since he does not have a complete telson, he has adapted with very powerful pincers.

when i'm feeding him he will pinch me, when i'm arranging the plants he will pinch me. my left thumb is full of his marks.

i like to see him eats mealworms that are still alive from the back to the front. looking at the mealworms as it moves in agony in those powerful claws are euphoric.

Swt how come u always kena pinch, the enclosure too small till u have no space to work with?
Or u purposely put ur hand inside although he is beside ur hand lol....
I keep scorp till now never kena pinch b4, luckily
Btw u shld see a scorp stinging cricket, its way cooler

the l.s did not molt since i got it from my friend .... it seems to be alot weaken comapre to last time ... i think it is dying ..................

nope he is in a very large enclosure. more then enough room.i just like to put the meal worm infornt of him and he would lunge and pinch me.
