Haha. I cant bliv after more than 1 month i last post here, there is only 2 posts. WTF. My n82 is still solid n 4 the 1st time ever, i abused my phone like crazy after just found out my n82 can go internet online in august. Dang. Looks like the club n82 has died sadly.

same here...i also have been looking for the solution for almost 1 year...
by the way, my battery "swelled" after 3 year n 2 months of service...(actually don't know since when it swelled)

off topics a bit... anyone know n82 battery seller? brand? market price?
still don't want to let go this good phone yet so must save it (plus no $$$ to change new phone also:()

haha yeah true. but what 2 do since i got no money 2 buy iphone retail liao. while i still want 2 stick with my prepaid, that is y i still dont want 2 buy via telco contract.

s 4 the battery, mayb i would consider buying from u one day. i surf internet through my phone whole day n my nokia battery left one bar only within few hours.

haha i see. i hold off all the break through of the so-called touch screen phone like 5800 iphone3g n8 iphone4 is because their camera mp is still lower or already equal with my n82. since today touch screen phone finally got 8mp, then only i think now is the right time 4 me 2 make the switch i have been holding it off 4 so long.

Not even sure if can last to next version V8 or not

My N82 has served me 2.5 years, still going strong, no sign of dying. Not throwing it yet. Will get a tablet to couple with it instead of a phone. Few more months ya xD

For battery, I recommend Sun Global but I don't guarantee ya... My friend bought one for Nokia 5XXX(forgot model ==) it lasts for shorter time than his old battery. But I used for 1 year no prob at all. Pure standby can last 3 days but normally 3 days it haven't finish me hand itchy recharge d ==. If heavy wifi/gps usage, charge once a day.

Problem I have now... Previously dropped it, the top plate (screen part) actually open up, I didn't notice it and dust went in. Tried to clean it but also failed to remove the top plate == It just won't come off. Therefore, few dust inside. Besides that... very very very super minor scratches. Used silicon case for 1.5 year then very sien d, throw the silicon case away and gotten it a "sock". 1 year till now, still no much scratches on it.  Beside the screen part, if I say it's new unit I think most ppl will believe. Lol~~

Software problem...
Garmin Mobile XT cannot be used. But my case is that... If i install on my 8GB memory card, with tonnes of songs and picture files(4~5GB of them), it will corrupt my picture/song files and eventually corrupt all the data in the memory card. My solution now is installing Garmin on a separate 256MB card and replace it when I need it.

Nokia Maps not working either. Couldn't load map into it. Should be able to fix by a hard reset but I'm kinda lazy to reload everything into it, live with it xD

Other than that, no problem at all. Serving me so well. Camera is such good that it still pawn many newer phones, even in low light.

Actually did the test with the black box sony used to show how their SE Arc perform in lowlight (just a black box with a android 2.3 picture inside, only a small hole for your camera to shoot into it). With night mode, not a big prob at all. See pictures xD

iwan - haha i have also dcided 2 get tablet instead smartphone while hanging on with n82 after found out some websites r not mobile frenly enough. i hate 2 zoom in d websites all d time really. man i going 2 miss candy bar shape with n82 d last hi end made with n86 n n8 is crap successor.

I have actually more than one N82, but none of them in perfect condition. This is still one of the best camera phones, but I've also migrated to iOS/Android.

haha let me rephrase here...n86 n n8 is crap successor in terms of the looks not the camera...n9 is nicer though way slimmer n sleeker than n8...in the end n9 is the better overall package than the n8 imo

btw i want 2 propose 2 b the new TS here 4 this n82 legend tred starting december 1. whoever agrees please post your hands up here.

oops i report in 2 late dy 1 january i will officially open the new tred...so i let this tred existence 2 continue 4 another 1 week

seems that there are still a lot of n82 holder here i plan to switch to smartphone but cant find 1 tat really impress me like n82...so i think it will serve me for 2 more years which make a total of 5 year
