So fast page 3 already T__T

To highlight text, hold the # button, then press the left or right key to highlight. If you release the # key after you are done, the left softkey will be your Options key. If you are still holding the # key, the left softkey is your Copy key.

To mark several items say in your Inbox, hold the # button and press up or down. Otherwise, navigate to the item you want to mark/unmark, hold the # button then press the center button.

Marking/unmarking in the gallery is easier, just press the # button on the video or image.

I suppose this works in all firmware, I'm on 20.0.062 and it's working fine.
Thanks... I didn't know you can mark with that method in Inbox (and it goes the same in File Manager!!) after six months of owning the phone. T__T

Somehow I don't think I come across this in the user manual...waste time deleting one by one..=.= Grr..

Er, I am buying a second hand n82 soon, may I know what I have to be careful about? I will follow the instruction of the garage sales to check the phone, but is there any other common problem that I should be concerned about?

How about Garmin XT? I found that some N82 have it but some don't(I thought it is a built-in software), is it a freeware or have to buy it? If yes how much?
Just get the phone first laa then you'll figure out the rest brows.gif

I don't think so, for both your questions. Most probably it will be uploaded instantly. Why not just try it, it's free anyways. The only thing I don't like is the very first time I use it, it goes online automatically using 3G, without asking me first. After changing the settings it's fine now.

For face detection, it's not likely.

Does anyone know any app for torch light. The ones that brighten the screen as bright as possible and stays until you close it.
BestTorch by Smartphoneware. [Freeware]

Hey, any1 know why is the torch apps not functioning in n82???\

And have u guys tried out ur new battery with minimum usage?? like the original battery can last 2.5 days with very minimum usage...so how about the new 1800mah battery???
Not functioning as in how?

Note that when you activate it it means you're activating the hotkeys to be on standby for you to turn on the torch function.

Have you assigned the hotkeys yet?

Swt...not xenon flash...it's what required by teddy, "The ones that brighten the screen as bright as possible and stays until you close it."

It's the screen that stays lit, not the xenon flash.

Yes I've installed it myself, use it sometimes too in fact.

You have no other keys to assign except for the Multimedia Key.

After you've activated it, your multimedia key will not function as "multimedia" button anymore but "torch" instead.

By the way I have no idea what's "shift" for our n82, I don't think our n82 has a "shift" key.

Um, it's a "torch", keeps the screen as bright as possible, so that your n82 can let u read something or whatever in the dark.

Not exactly a great app for n82, since the screen is not that bright, if you've noticed, as compared to other phone, but sometimes it's helpful.

If the app is useless for you...then don't use it laugh.gif

Same here, done the process on XP but no error message on phone upon disconnecting. So >> Vista problem.

Btw 5zal if you don't want Shake SMS to delete your message by accident then Disable the Extended Function which is found under Options in that application, hope this helps.

can't find.did u use the shakesms that has a chinese logo?

and why is it only works when received the msj for the 1st 5seconds
Yes it's shakesms that has the chinese logo. Version should be 1.02.

There's also options for you to set the Sensor Time-out to say 120 seconds but it might consume more battery.

But when I was using it last time, I felt like the app works for 1st 5 seconds too laugh.gif

yea,so what for is the use of shakesms if it only 5 sconds.
i heard there also hve shake mp3.. nver try .can't find it

any interesting app u use at your phone?can share/?
Never really search around for Shake MP3 before...

Well I'm one of the owners who got n82 mainly for its amazing camera in the phone, u might ask why didn't I buy digital camera instead but I'm just not one of those who likes to lug around a camera too much and I take random, unplanned photos all the time.

So that means I don't play around that much with the phone but I got the usual applications most n82 users got like:

BestJotter
SecMan
X-plore, Y Browser, Active File laugh.gif
Theme DIY
MessageStorer
BestDictaphone
Nokia Photo Browser
MSDict =)

Games I prefer Gameloft's mostly.

Let's have a top usage list, rank how you use your N82. For me:

1. Twitter - Gravity
2. Web browsing - Opera Mini
3. Music player when bathing (it's nice to have some music playing while bathing  tongue.gif ) - Default S60 player
4. Time & date check - cClock
5. Camera & video recording
6. Call & text
7. Messenger - Nimbuzz
8. GPS - Garmin
9. Setting reminders - Calender

Alarm used to fit in the list, but since I'm not schooling anymore, I did not use the alarm anymore these days. Rank how you use your N82.
Alright then here's mine:

1. Camera & Video
2. Text & Call
3. Alarm
4. Dictionary - MS Dict
5. Random reminder notes/to-do/inspirations (lol) - Best Jotter
6. Game - Platinum Sudoku, Block Breaker 2, Diamond Twister...
7. Message manager - Best Message Storer
8. Web browsing - Default web browser/Opera Mini
9. Messenger - Ebuddy/Windows Live Messenger
10. GPS - Garmin

ya.im using the default player
i also was thinking that the video is like that bcause of the default video player
but when i watch at pc using winamp also ,the vertical video looks horizontal(its not really horizontal, its like it upside down)
if i record horizontally, the video looks ok

anyway tq 4 da info
i try to add some pics (dunno how to xplain)
I hope I sort of got what u meant. You're saying that is there anything you can do so that when you record video in vertical way the result would be vertical as well but not horizontal (that your head had to be tilted 90degree so as to watch the video correctly?). If I'm not mistaken that is a problem you have to solve by using special video editors and I don't think it's something N82 can adjust for you. True, when you take vertical PICTURES n82 can adjust that and saves you the rotating-picture procedure but it's not exactly the same for videos. In other words, if you do not know how to use a video editor to rotate the video in the correct orientation where it is comfortable for you to watch, then you have to record all your videos in the horizontal way, that's what I do anyway. You can however try to figure out how to use a video editor to make it look right again but that is already not really N82's problem anymore.

QUOTE(The Punisher @ Jul 13 2009, 04:38 PM)
U mean its not a problem of orientation but the actual video looks either too stretched or too narrow?

I've just noticed 1 thing though, when I'm recording video the red light next to the flash is constantly on. Is that normal? Coz its a kinda sucky to record shiny things coz it'll reflect the red light =/
Yes, it's normal, red light will consistently be on throughout the entire video recording procedure. So far I have not discover any bypass to disable that red light, but then again the easiest to do is just find something to cover the red light if that irritates you so much.

wat brand..?
is that laggy...?
wanted to buy one..but dunno with one is better
NEVER buy DNA brand. Even though they're selling it like dirt cheap or whatever.

A THOROUGHLY BAD experience with people from DNA, these people don't know how to do business.

Get Sandisk.
