currently using n86's white theme. it fits with my white n82 quite good!

I bought my N82 last year. It is a very good camera phone. Picture quality is great.

But I have had 2 main problems with it in less than a year:
1) Camera trigger mechanism easily damaged. The camera actually still functions, but the hardware switch that starts the 5MP camera breaks easily. There's also no software-based way to trigger the 5MP camera. This has happened to me twice. First time I sent to the Nokia care center for them to fix. Second time just happened and I haven't fixed yet.

2) Dead pixels. Less than a year I see a few rows of dead pixels already.

Perhaps it's because I'm a rough owner, I dropped the N82 a few times, but not very high. Like maybe a book length above ground.

Anyway the phone is good as long as you take care of it.

I'm going to send my N82 to repair, but I bought a new phone W995. So far I like it more than my N82.

havent try any game tat can make full use of the 3D hW accelerator.If ya got any enlighten me.

W995 is my 1st Sony Ericsson phone, so far quite satisfied.

But of course my N82 will always have a special place in my heart...

hayyo, if u buy n86, sure u prefered more on n86 than w995

aiks why i cannot install any software one... all say expired certificate.... mine is 30.0.0.19 version...

Actually I did consider N86. But I read the ratings on gsmarena.com for N86 weren't as good as W995.
Then I prefer the design of the W995, smaller and brushed metal surface.

FW v31 is hackable or not?

My 1.5 years old battery is almost dead.

Any big difference for N82 clone and original battery? I check the price is 5X different and wonder its performance also 5X different.

There is a camera icon in the application folder to on the 5MP camera. I put the icon in the standby bar for 1-click activation.

Doesn't that turn on the front camera, and not the 5MP camera?
It only turns on the 5MP camera if it detects the shutter is open, and that's my problem, the hardware is not triggering that information.

Short battery life is a headache to me especially for outdoor photo shooting.

What is the price for 1800mAh?

I believe you are taking auto-shutter like in the digital camera.

Notice handphone traders in Low Yat are more blood sucking than before especially the one in the corner lot at level 2 with a prominent Nokia logo on their shops.

What on earth they are selling N82 battery original for RM238. Their battery is made with gold? I also asked myself did I look like Saudi tourist?

Only no brain buyer is not asking around for price in Low Yat. This trader thought local people are brainless like them to pay any price for their goods.

Yeah when I slide it, it's supposed to launch the 5MP camera right?
If it's not working, the camera application will only launch the front camera, not the 5MP camera.
