Pempek Indo, is nais and tasty

Here in KL/PJ where got?

Pempek, Mpek-mpek or Empek-empek is a delicacy from Palembang made of fish and sago. Pempek is served together with a dark, rich sauce called cuka (Baso Palembang: cuko, lit. vinegar). Cuka is produced by adding brown sugar, chili pepper, garlic, vinegar, and salt to boiling water.

yes is very nice, had it when working at jakarta.. miss it so much

my house is surrounded by indonesian imigrant. they open restaurant also. gonna ask them this menu.

pempek got many variety and prepare style one.

i eat before is

-fried fish cake with egg in middle
-timun hiris and tanghoon
-sos is black and um, kinda sweet, but also a bit like a dark thai chilli sos thingy.

pempek kapal selam is such a funky name.

i am try to find also.

i think pj will very hard to find.

erm..i donno how to say which is good coz for me all are good!
don mistaken for javanese food. javanese food can be from jawa timur, jawa tengah, jawa barat.
different province different traditional food.
as for jawa timur, well known for rawon, semanggi, soto madura, bakso etc.
for jawa tengah er...gado gado, opor ayam, etc.
jawa barat known for soto bandung, ikan pepes, gurame etc.

hehe...too much types of food.

Javanese food

you should try:
Tahu Campur ( Mix Tofu )
Soto Ayam
Bakso (meat ball in beef soup)
Rawon
Gado-gado and Pecel( these 2 kinds of food are hard to make if you want to serve in complete dish)
ayam Goreng (literally fried chicken but it's javanese style complete with all spice garlic,onion, ketumbar, kemiri(nut meg), daun jeruk purut (same leaf that you make tom yum), kunir)
and sambal

las nite i went to ayam penyet api in puchong.

my complains: chickin not flesh a bit solty, sayur pecel oni got taugeh and long bean wif terrible blend nut, bakso no taste like woter and soto ayam not very nice.

restoran ayam penyet ria in sunway mentari still the best.

Yeah bring back pempek from Palembang hor...Yeah Anggrek Kuring opened nerw branch already. I tried the same Puteri branch..probably u wnet during Puasa..thus taste totally out...try agian after Raya.. ...Or probably diff taste bud liao

Honestly for me they are as good as Angrek juring & 1/2 the price of Anggrek Kuring ...They probably start preparing b4 buka puasa..The whole of this mth, any Malay food will taste abit odd...either too salty or tasteless

The Jawa me or Nee bandung is originated from Bukit Mertajam (Vkeong hometown). They HQ is at Puchong Opposite Bintang Supermarket.

I dun think u can find similar thing in bandung or Jawa..

Atlast tasted Palembang Pempek but not in Palembang but inside I=Grand indon Mall @ Jakarta ...Not cheap hor...crazy rp20,999 or RM7.40 per PIECE!!
