hi guys, any1 of u tried ocing the sapphire hd 4770 b4? I'm using riva tuner as ATI tool cudnt even recognize d card.... but having no luck with the riva tuner...can pump the core clock but once push the memory clock, d system goes black & nth happens...!?

lol...dat works too but the CCC has limited the max clock to 830/850...from the default 750/800...was thinkin of making it 850/900 at least...hahaha

the guys here cranked the card up to 880/985 without voltmod...so i think it is okay to oc d card up to around at least 850/900 or something...but mine ran into problem wif rivatuner, can crank up d core clock but cant push d mem clock..weird..was wondering if anyone has done it b4...

I only managed to push it to 830/850 wif CCC, wic is oso d limit given by CCC...temps on load is around 59C only

Har? using software to soft volt mod? can kah? using software...I tot must at least use pencil?

alright..finally able to crank d card up to 880/985 without voltmod...

For my case the stock driver (6.14.10.6936) that comes with the GC somehow got some issue with overclocking...don't ask me why, i dont know coz evrytime i wanna up the mem clock wif riva, it will black screen. So i had to download version 6.14.10.6947.

Use riva instead of CCC, CCC oni limit d whole thing to 830/850. Riva version 2.24, mod the cfg file to include the GC information (here is the guide)

while overclocking, remember to have the CCC on but use Riva to adjust ur clock...

lol..i oso wann do vantage test but now using xp...so no can do...sorry..haha..wait til win 7 out thn maybe will do
