lol... why most dotA player have anger management problem? I am not a pro, i am quite a newbie... still learning... when i play a game... they either bang me when i die or even when i kill someone, they will scold me coz i didn't help?

Erm, alot of cases i see... even player wanna act they own the game and control everyone movement. Like i wanna farm they keep ask me follow here and there, and i couldn't farm a bit, then say why i not fat then scold me all the way... lol... care to explain to me whats wrong? haha

Because that's what they do best,they think they pro,and they don't even know what is team supporting.When win like to boost around,when lose then start scolding team mates.FAILED

ya, thats what i mean... like sometimes u can expect me to do everything... i tried my best but i just lose... lol... sometimes i feel very pissed off with players like these...

i've seem players where they lose but lose with dignity... but like the last game i played... i couldn't do anything coz i was at the wrong place and wrong time then they bang me like crazy...

I don't know how to play Dota but my friend ask me join in since not enough player so i joined.I'm totally a noob and all my friends is pro,i keep on getting pawn but then none of them scold or got angry instead they just said "game only,you'll get better with more practice"

This is more like team-mates compare to your friends.Ask them play solo if they think they so pro. LOL

It does applied to all. However, in the Dota player base (at least in Malaysia), the percentage of anger problem player is a lot higher than any other game.

Mainly due to the influence from Dota player and the nature of Dota that is easier to learn. As such, a lot of non-gamer player will play Dota. I have noticed a lot of my friends who only played MMORPG or don't even play any game would try out Dota. It would end up with too many bad qualities(bad anger management, bad learning behavior or such) player, as compare to true gamer.

I think becoz dota is a team game. When you mess up in that game, you are messing up the whole game. The other 4 players could be playing very well. Could be controlling the situation but because of a single player, the whole game is being messed up. Now let me give you a simple scenario. Say you did well in your company and because your partner mess up and thus you are messed up as well. So what do you want to do to that partner of yours? Are you still going to be nice to him? Some of you here may think that oh since the others are good at the game why dun the others win it. They never realise that they are actually the cancer and if they actually leave the game, chances are there is normally a turnaround. If you want to join a dota game and you are of lower level at least make sure that you do not join a game that involves higher level people because you are the one who is wasting the time and energy of the other 4 people of your team. I think in any sports, you wll see sports man actually get wind out and behave very sunsportingly. In tennis for example, you see players breaking rackets. Now they have time breaks and everything and yet they are behaving like this. So how can you blame dota players for screwing you up unless it was not really your fault.

i notice another things are these:

1. (Winning game situation) Got me of coz will win la! See that noob player, not because of me you think can win a!
2. (Losing Situation) Oi come 1 on 1 with me la! See who more pro (Swearing)...
3. (Losing situation) Haih, see that noob keep feeding (But himself also die much)

1. There are many cases whereby this is true. We all get frustrated when we have noob players on the team. Noob players normally fxxx up the game and in most cases especially when you are playing the game, those noob players are the main causes for the loss. As I said, it is mentally frustrating to play with players who do not even have an ounce of common sense. In fact most of the time, when playing with noobs, I end up having to leave because it is just a waste of time and energy playing with them and seeing the entire team get trashed because of them. It is ok if you are not familiar with the heroes and if you stated it earlier we may perhaps understand but for you not to exhibit even common sense. Maybe dota is not the game for you. There are many cases whereby me and my friends play with noobs and we manage to turn the tide around but most cases it always end up as a loss. As i said earlier, normally the tide changes when those noob players leave the game but it is most of the time too late because of the damaged that has been done and also because of the enemy numerical superiority.

2.Well, to me those are losers. Dota is a team game. If they have to resort to saying this then they are stupid because they only know 1 hero whereelse as dota players we are supposed to be good in most of the heroes. I hate losers like those.

3. Not all feeders are noobs. Some feeders are feeders because they are a team player. They feed so that they can save your ass. They feed so that they can gain an advantage in a battle situation. They are sacrificial. But I have to also agree that sometimes they feed because their heroes are imbalanced. If you are feeding because of a lack of skill then you deserve to be called a noob because you are feeding because of lack of map awareness. You are also not contributing anything to the team as well. If you feel that you are contributing something to the team, then of course you can voice it out to the team that the reason why you are feeding is because you are contributing something. Or if say you are a hero without much hp then at least you know in your heart that you are not a noob and then only thing that you can do is to leave the game. because you are not going to progress much with all that unmerited insults.

4) Dota is a team game. When your team mate is in trouble you are supposed to go and help your team mate. If your team mate dies because YOU are just a bystander and did nothing to help your team mate then you are a noob. You play as a team and you win as a team.

Well since you do not really understand the concept of team work and also what is the concept of noobs then perhaps instead of playing dota you can play games that do not really involve team play whereby you can look at how good you are without compromising other ppl efforts.

haha... i agree with what you say... usually i die because i help my team mates... eventhough i know i am just going to die... i would try to save them...

like example i play axe, i have 60% hp left and my team mate have 10% and 3 heros is chasing him and i am by his side... i would stop and berserk the enemy so that he can run and usually by 'berserk-ing' the heros, i would die coz everyone would be hitting on me...

what you respond to the second one, i totally agree... when i see those players i would laugh my pants out and ask them... if so u play one on one and u won, so what? Its a game only, and dotA is suppose to be a team game...

For the last statement. If you are not able to farm, maybe you should ask ur teammate to help u on that lane or you should perhaps maybe pull creeps. A highly skilled player will never let the opponent get a clear advantage. If you spam your skill well, you will definitely still be able to farm. and i am still very sure that there are still creeps that are far from your enemy which u can still hit. And you have to also be patient and wait for your enemy to make a mistake.

yeah that too! sometimes i'm just at the wrong place and the wrong time...

For example, i am using ES (my fav hero) and one melee hero is with me.... but our opponent is Veno and PA... u know la... es haha, hp so damn now... haha but anyways thats just an example i always get into...

My opinion,

People cannot control their anger is because of their low EQ or unrealistic and high expectations, or even simpler, the greed to win and to show off. This kind of people can be noticed easily. When they are owning, they will say something like "NOOB!" or anything else (seldom say so I don't know). When they are losing, they will start scolding their teammates and say people (opponents) using cheats or hacks!

They scare to lose so much, because they forget this is only a game. Even in your life you will fail sometimes, what to matter so much if it is just a game that serves a purpose to make people happy?

DotArdS are these kind of people lo. When teammate die, scold noob, when they die, scold ppl noob no inform etc etc. When he kills, he say dat person noob, when team ks, he scolds them noob, when he KS he is not noob.

Well, one or more of this will define your average dotard, many more other reason, but I believe you have seen it before.

Anger problem, easy, they lan c, don't want lose, if lose cannot because of them, must be due to teamate.If they noob, also cannot because of them, because opponent aim him, teamate no help/signal/warn etc. Typical, normally I just keep quite, and enjoy the game.

7 years ago I joined my friends for a DotA session. Seeing as there were only 3 of us we decided to join a PuG. So this was my first time playing with strangers and those bloody dotards scolded us for this and that and basically turned me off the game for good. I never played another game of DotA to this day.

seriously speaking, in my own personal opinion, dota is a game of teamwork. it may be a game for those that have nothing better to do, but in the end, for those that really enjoy the game itself, its all about teamwork and having some good laughs together. that is what game teaches me about life, teamwork and some good time together, regardless of wins and losses. i had played dota ever since version 2.17, to 5.84c and till now. the attitude of kampar's local dota players, are and is the worst.

Go to find for other players to form a clan. You will be away from these word scolded by your teammate, since you all both know the standard of each other.

DOTA is a way to scold other people without having your identity found out unless some people are exceptionally sharp and remember you even after the game has ended. It can be frustrating whether you're winning or losing depending on the attitude of the player. The most important thing to remember in DOTA is that it's a team game, no solo high and mighty players, no players who gets pissed off if they're killing spree is stolen by a teammate, etc etc. It's a game for goodness sake.

The existence of this thread also is a total waste of time if playing with players who curses at every thing in game probably you need to hang out with other friends who don't curse around since most of the time you say the game sucks why bother even replying here ? . It's still a game so why the fuss calling people dotards ? Play the game you like or just get lost don't bother disturbing people happiness.
