Went to showroom and been told the i10 High Spec need 3 months waiting period and the SA keep pushing those 1.1 or 1.25 standard spec to you. Now they are offering free insurance and 3 months instalments for standard spec also.

My wife like this car only, if not, I will go and book the basic Swift now. What kind of planning is it when you just launch the FL i10 in July and sold out by Oct 2011?

What is your concern? Haven't you seen any kancil or other small cars up there?

The only problem recently, I've been driving my i10 for 3-4 months, I am going for 3rd servicing this Tuesday. (exceed 12,500 km). My prob is: After 2nd servicing the fuel consumption has been dropping seriously. I use to be able to get 360-380km per tank, now only get about 300km.

Should i change service centre? I go to the AVANTEGARDE CAR CARE CENTRE in Cheras, Desa Tun Razak. or...any advise??
Other than that ...No problem so far, Still happily driving and i am glad i've chosen this car.
*
I just got the car last week, at last. Couldn't get the color that my wife want (silver blue), and have to settled with white color as can't wait any longer, already waited for 4 months ++.

It is really a nice car, the ride is comfortable and driving it is easy. I am planning to go Hyundai Jalan Ipoh for services.

And I brought from Bro Fluid here, recommended seller, good SA to go if anyone interested in Hyundai cars.

@FluidicSculpture, the new elantra still not out yet kah?
*
First refill, RM60++ full tank, quarter left with only 230km mileage. So bad ?

New car? or after 2nd servicing hmm.gif
*
Yes, new car, just got it 10 days ago. I understand new car will need first service for the engine to run properly but full tank for less than 300km abit too much out of my expectation.

Anyone can share whether the USB drive for the audio has limited folder to be detected? It seem unable to detect some folder inside my thumb drive, i have 50++ folder inside it.

800km now, should be going for first service next weekend.

I have tried re-arranging the folders many times, tried to reduce the folders, but it seem not been able to detect most of it. Probably just need to dump my 2,000 songs into 1-3 folders.

Maybe I will just get a few 4GB thumb drive to fix this tiny problem.

Can share what is the current normal mileage now for your i10? Full tank can easily get 500km ? Need to know so that align abit my expectation Hehe

FYI I'm using a 8gb thumbdrive, should not be any issue. Thumbdrive size tested is 4,8 and 32gb laugh.gif
*
Huh ? I tot they market and won award last year for being fuel efficient ie.5.5l/100km, guess have to visit the petrol station more often now cos you can't wait until 35 litre to finish then only refill.

Haha, the only one not tested is 16GB, probably manufacturing defect also, cos I just brought it.

Now I want to go for last test, by renamed all folders to the same name. smile.gif

I'm planning to get this car within these 2 weeks, I haven't go for test drive nothing yet.......

Dear all i10 proud owners, any advises for me????

Any car dealers / hyundai agents can recommend to me???
Any promotion at the moment????
For those that just got your i10 lately, what is the interest rate u got from bank??
*
Go and test drive first, so you can feel the car and it is the car you want.

I am very happy with the car so far, 3 weeks old only, and going for first service soon.

Brought from Bro Fluid, recommended for freebies and good services.

But recently fetch my in law and criticize the car for that price and finishing. Some people is just never open to new car brand.

Consider waiting period if you want the high spec i10 especially the color you want might take longer waiting period.

The first 3 refills can go less than 250km with 2 bars remaining, and then I changed to BHP Petrol and the mileage improved to 300km with 2 bars remaining. Mixed urban/highway driving and the first 2 refills even included trips to Putrajaya via highway about 100km++. Hopefully mileage improved over time.

And my interest rate is 2.69% for 5 years.

it's ok if people criticize ur ride.. don't let it get to you.
as long as u're happy..nothing else matters a lot
but take it as advice or something to learn if need to..
i10 may not suit many people but seeing ur response..it suits u..
at least it is better than a kancil or viva in that category..
*
Actually is my wife's car and she is still learning driving now, so most of the time I am driving now especially during the peak period. It suit my wife as she wish for small car and feel the Myvi is bigger car.

Yes, of course interior cannot match to those Benz or Accord, but still, some people really judged based on brand only, whatever they see also not good.

What is the different between 1.25 std and High spec?
How is the power of 1.25 compare to myvi 1.3?
Any good SA to recommend?
THanks
*
The high specs can get you Myvi 1.5, if you want power, then better go for Myvi.

i10 is for people who feel the difference once sat inside it.

Hey guys, i10 2011 user here. Do you guys notice that the stock tires are the "infamous" GY eagle nct5? Shouldn't we consider it part of the reason why this car's FC doesn't match up with all the hype? I could get only 12.5-13.5 km/l, compared to the advertised FE of 17 km/l. Not even close...

The tires suck! I've just driven 6k+ km and they roar like crazy on the road, even at low speeds. Driving in wet condition sucks big time, the grip when cornering is disappointing (I don't do high speed cornering mind you), & rolling resistance obviously felt really high. Really different from the time I first got the car when the noise was bearable and the grip wasn't this bad.

Anyone went for upsizing or different tires?
*
12.5km/l ? That is good compared to mine, am getting 10km/l or less. Yours is 1.25 also ?

Yup mine's 1.25 too. 12.5 km/l is for 80% highway 20% city drive. 10km/l? Did you change your rims/tyres or did any mod? That FE's quite bad IMO  hmm.gif

Added on May 9, 2012, 10:12 pm

Indeed, but to be very far off that value is really something to think about. What's your mileage btw?

Well haha I've been reading a lot on tyres & stuff and ppl seem to use this 'roar' term to refer to tyre noise on the road. To me they do sound like roars  wink.gif
Just google it & search for feedbacks/comments from Malaysians.. IMO NCT5 seems to set benchmark for terrible tyres. When ppl wanna complain about a tyre, they compare how bad it is to NCT5 sweat.gif

Wow it's amazing that you drive according to speed limit! laugh.gif That surely would save fuel+higher mileage per tank.
*
No, did not MOD or changes anything. Already running more than 3,000km now, still the same, just fill up RM59 RON95 petrol today after running 302km.

Yup things def get better! but i'm not sure about the fragile/things get loose? i haven't had any.. I think.

Holes=pain in the ***. BUT only if your tyres' under-pressured IMO. I've been toying with the amount of pressure & frequency of pumping them.. your tyres should never be below 200 psi or you'll really, terribly feel every potholes & bad road surfaces. I find 240 psi to be the sweet spot (too hard->bumpy; too low->driving not smooth). Pump them once every two weeks if possible.. I wonder why my tyres lose pressure easily though, have to pump them almost every week sweat.gif

Added on May 9, 2012, 10:33 pm

Whoa.. I seriously think it should've gotten better after your 1st service. Seems like something's not right.. not that I know a lot about cars though, but you might wanna have it checked. The worse I think should be 330-340.. o maybe you just have a heavy foot? But still it doesn't seem right  hmm.gif
*
Seriously, need to check the pressure every week ? Wow, it is quite hard b'cos all those pumper at petrol station always down.

Just check the tyres pressure this week, it seem the front wheels are under pressured. Hopefully the FC will be better now. Can't wait for next service to reset the so call LOW FC button. smile.gif

Hyundai Jalan Ipoh branch let you test drive inside their car park behind, good if you are scare to drive on the road. Anyway, you can test the power of the car going up the car park. But I didn't buy here cos SA very sthingy. Hehe smile.gif

1) What is your Model (eg. 1.1 OR 1.25 CVVT/year made/reg (eg mine's 2012 year made)? Model 1.25 CVVT year 2012

2) How is your fuel consumption of your car? RM55-58 can only get 300km max, sometime can get only 250km. Even driving during the recent CNY where there is no jam at all, I can only get 320km. This is way far from what they claim can be achieved, so I really pissed it this.

3) Are you happy/satisfied with your car so far? NVH is really good, always wonder why Potong can do the same ? Even the power window seem ways beyond Potong's quality. But cannot drive more than 110km/h b'cos can hear the windy sound from the window. Just renew my insurance and guess wat ? The market value after first year can drop more than RM10k ?????

4) Any quality, reliability issues with your i10? Water went into headlight after just 4-5months, tot is is just temporary but end up more water so I claimed for warranty from Kah Bintang Jalan Ipoh, took them 1 month to call me back for replacement. And guess what, once replaced last Saturday morning, there is water in the headlight again in the evening. I didn't see them replacing a new one, so suspect probably just take out and wipe the water inside ??? Still not sure my next action but with this kinda of services I will never go to Kah Bintang Jalan Ipoh again!

LASTLY:
5) Will you recommend this car to anyone (eg. families, friends, colleagues)? Er, depend. If NVH is priority, then can consider this car.

Get used to the FC, it is bad. Recently received a letter from Hyundai to ask the owner to do some setting at hyundai centre, it will make the FC better. Anyone done it ?
