After filling up full tank on tuesday, still got half tank left @ 220km mileage. Will monitor and report once it's empty to see if it's back to normal or not. Overall i still like driving this car laugh.gif

@FluidicSculpture, the new elantra still not out yet kah?

Yes, new car, just got it 10 days ago. I understand new car will need first service for the engine to run properly but full tank for less than 300km abit too much out of my expectation.

Anyone can share whether the USB drive for the audio has limited folder to be detected? It seem unable to detect some folder inside my thumb drive, i have 50++ folder inside it.
*
Hmm during the first service, ask the service center to have something reset (using G-Scan, they should know) as for the thumbdrive not sure how many folders can be inside (mine have 4 folders with totally of 3xx songs)

suprisingly i manage to get 370km/full tank yesterday. With that mileage actually depends on driving style. I don't know how did they drive the car biggrin.gif

try pm FluidicSculpture brows.gif
overall is ok, pickup is a bit slow when car is being idle for quite some time. needs overdrive turn on to get into pace.
i received mine around 9/1/2012. Interest rate depends on loan approval actually. Mine was 2.67 for 7 years.

What is the different between 1.25 std and High spec?
How is the power of 1.25 compare to myvi 1.3?
Any good SA to recommend?
THanks
*
high spec got abs+ebd and air bags while the normal one does not.
Handling wise i somehow prefer this over myvi sweat.gif
As for sa you could try to PM bro FluidicSculpture.

More update, refill after first service, full tank can last 370km.

Added on April 13, 2012, 12:09 am

The high specs can get you Myvi 1.5, if you want power, then better go for Myvi.

i10 is for people who feel the difference once sat inside it.

2nd refill after services, 300km. Haiz sad.gif

Just done my 3rd servicing.. Btw regarding that 17km/L, what speed are they driving also we dunno. I find my tyres still ok,although i may be changing it soon to something more better. (how do one notice that the tyres roar on the road?)and is there anything wrong with NCT 5 series tyre? i though they were suppose to be good?

@gamer88, hard to say.. maybe 370-380? (i tend to drive according to speed limit, not 70-80 XD)

Yup mine's 1.25 too. 12.5 km/l is for 80% highway 20% city drive. 10km/l? Did you change your rims/tyres or did any mod? That FE's quite bad IMO  hmm.gif

Added on May 9, 2012, 10:12 pm

Indeed, but to be very far off that value is really something to think about. What's your mileage btw?

Well haha I've been reading a lot on tyres & stuff and ppl seem to use this 'roar' term to refer to tyre noise on the road. To me they do sound like roars  wink.gif
Just google it & search for feedbacks/comments from Malaysians.. IMO NCT5 seems to set benchmark for terrible tyres. When ppl wanna complain about a tyre, they compare how bad it is to NCT5 sweat.gif

Wow it's amazing that you drive according to speed limit! laugh.gif That surely would save fuel+higher mileage per tank.

lol i get you madcow1. this car's only for those who's driven it & felt the difference.. A spot-on motto! Or something like that  icon_rolleyes.gif

around 12k+ already laugh.gif Well still doing testing. always notice FC increase after servicing though. still monitoring it. Maybe i should go have those tyre changed/trade in sweat.gif So far i don't feel the car is fragile or anything going loose. And apparent for EPS it's easy for allignment to go off if the car always hits potholes. I always check my pressure on weekly basis thumbup.gif btw whats a good tyre to recommend then? Falken ZE series?

my i10 also facing the same problem as yours, after serviced it in Cheras service centre, then FC drop very seriously.
then i changed to another service centre in Seri Kembangan, the workshop people told me that Cheras service centre sometimes not using genuine products from Hyundai.
*
Actually for some reason something need to be reset (did that previously when this happen) and then FC is back to normal. I actually service @ Glenmarie's Hyundai Service Center (next to honda's service center) I presume yours is the 1.25 facelift version?

Third service already? Nicee  rclxms.gif Owhh I didn't know steering misalignment's common after hitting potholes.. but then I do feel it getting misaligned sometimes  nod.gif That's great, I read somewhere that it's best to check them weekly. How much pressure do you use?

I'm not sure about Falken ZE.. I've read that they're good when new but eventually turn pretty bad later. Not sure though, I didn't read much on them  sweat.gif

imo the excellent tyres at 14" is Michelin XM2. They're very long lasting (main selling point by Michelin I think), very quiet & have excellent grip. What's special though is that ppl claimed to get a hike in mileage per tank when switching to XM2. This one guy claim he jumped from 360km to 420km. Others said their FE jumps from 13km/l to 15-16km/l.  The tyres seem to have very low rolling resistance, which means.. err easier to roll->less energy to move them->lower FC, e.g. you've released the pedal yet the car doesn't slow down as much as it would before, since the wheels doesn't lose that rolling energy easily. You'd also notice ppl would have to get used to it.. to a new style of braking haha.

The problem with XM2 is that their common size at 14" is 185/60 which is quite too wide for i10 stock rims. Not sure though, haven't consulted with tyre shops. Another option is to upsize to 15", you can get lighter rims & broader range of excellent tyres i.e. Michelin PS3, hankook v12 and a lot of others. High performance tyres like these only starts at 15" & above as far as I'm aware of. BUT, I'm really just an amateur haha, I just gather what I've read so far  smile.gif Try googling for these tyres like XM2 and PS3.. mycarforum and autoworld forum has a lot of discussion on tyres, seems a lot experts are there. I couldn't find much about tyres on LYN forums....  hmm.gif

Whoaa I also go to Cheras!  sweat.gif May be a good choice to change to a different center next time.. thanks for the tip!
*
Well i think it's coz it's Electronic powered, not the old type of power steering biggrin.gif.. just go slow/evade/try not to go over potholes biggrin.gif. XM2,thats pretty pricey right sweat.gif i don't wanna spend on rims and tyres leh.. cost even more doh.gif

Haha yea I've been avoiding holes ever since I felt the slight misalignment. Lol yeaa they're pricey, almost as pricey as 15" performance tyres! Which is why I suggested upsizing. But they last longer which is good, may not need to change tyres as often.. have to read more comments on that though to prove that. But seriously I'm tempted by the higher FE.. & lower noise compared to NCT5!

When i first got my car i just go over those potholes only laugh.gif well but seriously in terms of handling i really like the i10's one wub.gif I feel short when i'm driving my sis's vios laugh.gif Now just might wanna go trade in those NCT 5 for something else =(

sweat.gif Went to my usual tyre shop and they told me only GoodYear NCT 5 has the 165/60/14 size. Does anyone knows if other brands do have similar sizes? Don't wanna change rim as i like the stock one. And weirdly, my fc seems back to normal hmm.gif (never visited SC as i overslept) And don't mind if i know whats is 5.5j? sweat.gif
