On Digi's MNP page:

Does it mean that I cannot port out of Digi in the first 3 months after porting in? Is it a MNP policy that all telcos have to follow or it is only Digi that is implementing this? If Digi only, do they even have the right to hold us back from porting out?

I have submitted my MNP request to switch to Digi from Hotlink (only few days on Hotlink, was on Celcom), but I have not received any sms notification or things like that. Is that normal? Won't Digi send us a simple sms saying that they have received our application and is processing it or something like that?

I so wish that I won't be forced to stay with Hotlink for 3 freaking months sad.gif sad.gif

Any kind soul can help me to ask this on D'chat please? sad.gif

The 3 months cool off period is for Postpaid lines meaning to say once you have selected a postpaid plan to port into, you can't change your plan in 3  months time.

No worries if you are using prepaid. You may port in and port out anytime you want smile.gif

I ping DiGi on Twitter to ask about my porting status. They call me about less than an hour later to tell me that Maxis rejected my porting, citing incorrenct IC no. I changed my number's ownership to my sister at Maxis Centre, and I double confirm that it's changed few days later in the same branch, then only I proceed with the porting at DiGi Centre. Now they say the IC no. is incorrect? Sigh.

Turns out the Maxis people enter one digit of the IC no. wrongly. Just one wrong number and I have to travel back to Maxis Centre, within walking distance, then travel all the way to Times Square to Digi Centre to resubmit the porting.

Maxis staff don't double check information entered sad.gif

Hopefully it will be done by tomorrow.

SMS to FnF in DiGi Campus is FOC.
Call rate for FnF is not applicable.

I think he mean changing numbers in his FnF list.
