I know CK carries the Vox Night Train, and JS carries Orange, what about Blackheart?

Anyone with personal experiences? I have tried an Akita 20W tube amp, not really impressed with it..

How much is the Night Train going for in CK?

Pardon my ignorance. Where's/what is JS?

You can also check with Ceriatone and see if they can build one to your specs.

hahaha.. thanks blacktrix. There's 20% off all Gibsons 3 weeks back. wink.gif and one of the local shops i giving 2 years 0% interest free. How not to get a Gibson/PRS/Schecter etc?

Dilin:
There are plenty of youtube videos now to give you an approximate idea. I have not tried the NightTrain personally, so I can't give a comparison between both. However I still love the TinyTerror for its simplicity and tone, great stuff for blues and rock. There's not much of clean headroom here unless you're into some mild breakup distortion.

Oh btw I just heard the new Marshall Haze 40watts today at my local shop here. OMG I so want one... maybe I'll wait for the 15 watts head to try first.

1) I've tried the Night Train and I love it. It covers blues and classic rock perfectly (but you'll probably need a pedal for heavier stuff).

Only problem is the price - i.e. it's about RM1900 for the head and about RM2500 for the Vox Heritage 12 inch speaker cab (with Celestion Blue speaker). Fantastic combo but equally fantastic price... smile.gif

2) I've also tried the latest Vox AC4TV (4W) amp (10 inch speaker) and that's a really affordable tube amp and playable in a small apartment without killing your neighbour's ears. And it's less than 1k!!

3) Unfortunately, both the Night Train and AC4TV are not available till June/July...

Wow! Really fantastic price... How about the Orange at JS Music? Judging from online prices, should be a bit cheaper than the Vox. I kinda like its raw and slightly dirty tones, like early Fleetwood Mac. smile.gif

edit: JS is bringing them in next month, RM2990 for the head/cab. For the Night Train, no cabinet available yet, except the costly Heritage 1x12 Celestion Blue... Have to wait awhile more for the (cheaper I guess) V112NT (Celestion Greenback).
