Hmm.. I'm now undecided between the iData 2 & 3 after hearing your experiences and how little data some of you are using. Anyone here using the iPhone for VOIP calls thru Skype? I'm just wondering what the data usage rate will be like with that and push notification turned on for IM.

@unioptom,
VOIP calls via Skype isn't available on the 3G network; U will need to connect to wifi to be able to use VOIP; hence it's not gonna take up any additional data tongue.gif  If you don't use data much, go with iData 2; U won't regret it because in the long run you'll really be saving *smiles*  I certainly am glad I swapped over from Unlimited RM99 p/month to RM50 for 500MB p/month.

Hmm... this does put a damper on things. I suppose Maxis wouldn't want to break their own rice bowl by allowing competition to their own core service. hmm.gif

I'm currently on the 5MB package with my HTC and two months ago when I tested out a Twitter client for less than a week (I did let it run on auto update the whole time) , I ended up paying the max RM250 for data that month. I'm now a little paranoid that I'll end up going over my data limit on the iPhone once I get it.

hi, can someone make sense from this statement?

taken from Maxis frequently asked questions
[attachmentid=1331266]

No.3 and No.5 answers is a little bit confusing....basically what they say is unlimited packages is capped at 3GB but the speed wont reduce even after we exceeds the capped limit  rclxub.gif
so why the use of word capped?

My two cents - I think what they mean capped as in the amount of data (ie 3GB) which is inclusive in the RM88. Guess if you exceed the limit, you will still be able to surf as normal as long as you pay the extra.
