1MB = Rm 10?!?!!!!!

I was on wifi all the while and i thought i have did steps to deactivate the data usage. i just check, blardy 12mb!!! so rm 120?!!!!!!!!!

what 'steps' have you taken to deactivate the data coz disabling 3G does not mean disabling the data access. And yes, 12mb = RM120 if you are not on the data plan shocking.gif

Throw the question to maxis, how are we going to know the data usage for the ivalue1 plan if they claim apple 3gs's data meter usage is not accurate?
For me,500 mb is a lot for retrieving email.

Guys, any idea how to know how much data usage is use on the iphone?
Migrate from Digi just because of the iphone!

you can check from the phone menu itself .. Settings --> General --> Usage

My usage is normally around 1GB / month and that's already consider heavy ..without any tethering ...

.. Settings --> General --> Usage on the iphone consider as unrealiable.that is according to maxis customer support. say something like 65% accurate!
cannot answer back when ask to them, where to monitor?

do you believe apple or maxis ? the answer is obvious.

hi there,

and i have check the usage meter it indicates that a few mb's..

any idea how to reslove the issue? i have went and spoke to the maxis ppl in Pyramid few weeks back..they said "this is normal mah... Iphone always like this.."
*
the usage meter is never wrong. you either receiving/sending the data by 3G, gprs or EDGE. Did you disable not only 3G but gprs/EDGE as well ?

Yep, best way is to put garbage in the APN settings.. as even if you can't turn off edge.. it still can't access anything.. you can do it manually, so no JB needed (provided you installed the carrier bundle)

sadly, not many ppl play attention to this, clueless on how data transfer actually works. Instead only disable 3G and forgot about gprs/EDGE. Maxis is also partly to be blame for not telling users this.

cool. They will block your line 1st, unless you pay up. It will remain blocked, until they finished checking every damn thing which they actually have no way of checking.

what's the usage shown on your phone btw ?
