Anyone can help? i had the same problem as u. i think most of us do. problem is no one really bothers to fight for their consumer rights.. mine was over by 175 bucks.. cause of the pro-rated thing. i called 3 different customer service who i ask to escalate to their top management. i told thm its really pushing it over, cause the representative that sold me the phone did not inform me.. i got the case resolved and got the 175 over bucks rebate. and yes. thy will close the case so that thy can hit their KPI. their objective is to solve the case best either on phone.. or within a day.. get their name.. and call thm back up (same person) and reopen the case.. or tell thm u'd go public with this nonsense..

This is just an example , for I believe there would be many less-educated aunties/uncles out there who would just pay Maxis for the bill... even if they are overcharged a few tens of ringgit a month... yup, certainly. maxis is having us consumers at a disadvantage. we need to be persistent. what more calling 123 luckily is free.. for prepaid hotlink. i still remembered it was free, until thy lifted that privilege.. so whn i hv to call the consumer service, ill jus use a land-line, rather thn frm my mobile which the price to call any local line is exorbitant so to fiseel.. jus ring thm up and tell thm the your unfair tale.. unless thy did give u a headsup and you decided not to heed their warning.
