Not sure if anyone mention before, perhaps get this app iDataUsage (by Kartik Patel) ? This will help to track the Data and WiFi usage. However, I notice battery life goes down faster also.

Try turn off location service for this app. i notice it's auto turn on while this app is running where u can see the symbol on top right  smile.gif

Yes, I notice that purple arrow also (next to clock on top right). But if we disable it, will it be able to track the usage accurately ? hmm.gif Just wondering, as I'm still testing the app.

So far i tried with location off.. still able to track. accurate or not.. not sure but I know the version 1.0 does not have location feature.

i change to Data Usage from DataMan.. DataMan not usable if location not on.

Which one do you think is better ? iDataUsage or DataMan ? hmm.gif

kinda subjective isn't it?

if i use my phone to tether ... it is technically a broadband service?

Nope. Not applicable for tax deduction.

It's the same with buying sports shoes or sports clothes. Not application to deduct max RM300.
But if buy stuff like badminton shuttlecocks, then yes, can deduct. If buy Nike shoes, cannot deduct.

Need to have good memory and discipline.

Coming to 2nd full month, so far 26/31 days, I used up 5GB+ through WiFi but only 103MB through 3G.
First month only 2GB+ WiFi and 40MB+ 3G tongue.gif

As mentioned, when outside, try not to do heavy bandwidth like download apps, video/youtube, patches, etc. You may install from AppStore, but once it start download, you can pause it.

I use iDataUsage. Some others here use DataMan. Set it to billing cycle and limit to track it.

hi guys, just wanted to ask the 100mb data plan from maxis, it is enough to used if im just using normal checking email and facebook only...without downloading any apps or streaming youtube?
any user using 100mb data usage from maxis and any feedback?
*
For me:

First full month: 30MB+
2nd full mth: 112MB+
Now on 3rd month.

and I'm on a 2GB plan smile.gif

It depends on what you do and how you use it. My patterns:
(1) WiFi at both home and office. Download apps/patch or youtube/etc. when at home/office only.
(2) For 3G/Edge data, I used it for a lot of apps/games while outside, like Mail (Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo), Safari (browse some news website or google search somethings, no heavy website), Papago, Whatsapp, Foursquare, Facebook (no videos/pictures, just view and reply text), Lil' Pirates, and a few more games.
(3) Data usage tracking using iDataUsage

So, it all boils down to own use and discipline, and constant tracking, before and after browse each time.
Also, close all apps in background once done.

ahpingko,

Could be those Push notifications (Badges), try switch off all, and enable one by one.

ahpingko,

Mails ? Delete all email accounts in iPhone. Unless you find how to set it to not sync automatically at schedules time or push email.

Added on November 29, 2010, 4:08 pmIf not working, then you may try remove the installed apps one by one. Some apps are somehow locked/automatic use 3G/EDGE instead of available WiFi.

Unbilled amount is the amount that is not yet full-month to print the monthly statement.

If your monthly statement is high, try ask for the detail bills, and read the summary which item is exceeding the cost.

@cute_boboi you're not helping. unbilled amount is whatever you've used, but your telco has not done any processing (contra for extra payment, package deals etc)

Well, the user is asking question similiar like ... how do I post/reply messages in this forum ?
