Dear ALL,

i'm currently using iPhone 3gs on celcom network and intending to upgrade to iPhone 4. Is is true that celcom 3g cannot support iPhone 4 because of the micro SIM required on iPhone 4?

Bolded part, incorrect.
If it's not working for your phone, just go to the customer service counter and ask them to reset your sim card settings will do, if they know you're using iphone 4, and telling you that celcom still don't have support iphone 4, you don't have time listen to them, just laugh at them will do. smile.gif

LOL i will definitely laugh at them if it will work! anyway, thanks alot for all who responded my post. very helpful of all. i shall first trim my sim to micro sim and try out celcom 3g data.

Cheers!

guys,

I'll be getting my iphone next week JB'd from US.. what is the best data plan available now? staying in serdang, most of my time will be in klang valley..

Do u use much on your calls? if you can reach RM150 a month, i would recommend you celcom Power 148 plan. For RM150 per month minimum commitment, celcom throws in FREE unlimited data! Celcom has its name in the best coverage in M'sia, even ulu places no problem. I'm using this plan since i got my iphone 3G to now iphone 4, no problem smile.gif

ic.. normally it wont reach 150.. my usage normally around 100.. but its a preety good deal 150
for Unlimited data!!!!!.. can the line be shared across??

means I sub a new number and share the same limit?  150 for two lline but data plan only for my phone.
*
Nope you can't. the plan is only for 1 phone number. but if you are using iphone 4, you can use it as modem for internet connection (internet tethering) and chop your streamyx if you're using one at home. that would save you $$ smile.gif

I wish I can terminate my streamyx.. 2years contract.. just finish early this year and I apply for a new one another 2years..
do celcom hv family plan? what is the minimum commitment for 2nd number?
*
Yup, there's family plan. i think it's call 1 + 5 plan. The commitment fee is RM5 monthly with calling principal line FOC for upto 1200mins i recall. Yucks! I hate to be under contract, that's why i have been getting my own iphone from overseas and just shop for the best plan available in the market.
